Too wide for a lot of tripods
This mount is a cool design and a great idea but unfortunately it is just a teeny bit too wide to work with my Vanguard tripod or any of the lower end tripods I have lying around. This mount is quite a bit wider than any other I’ve had, which is unfortunate because it seems like it would be really cool if I could use it.If you have a tripod with a wider clamp then this is a really cool mount. It’s constructed from metal, not cheap plastic like typical phone mounts. Adjusting it between being a phone mount or a camera mount is super simple, you just pull out one side and push the tab up and then push the tab up on the other side and bam, phone mount. You do have to unclamp and flip it over to screw-mount a camera but if your clamp is the right size then that shouldn't be much of an issue. The camera mount side has some strips of rubber material on it so it has some grip. Sturdy yet lightweight, flat and easy to bring with you. The fact that it looks cool doesn’t hurt either.
