This is the first, non-point-and-shoot camera, I've purchased. There was a Prime Day deal and $300 off this kit. While it's a little expensive for someone's first camera, there are so many options that it will satisfy any tech nerdy person. I've picked up a Sigma 30MM lens on an Amazon renew deal and it's so wonderful. I can only advise you watch a lot of YouTube reviews to see if this offers everything you need. It's a HEAVILY reviewed item so there is alot out there. The body is smaller than a DSLR since it's mirrorless, and feels great in your hand. The EVF is a little odd looking, but its CRAZY clear and wonderful on a sunny day.

The assembly of the parts takes a little getting used to. I have large hands and this is a smaller camera than I normally use, so I have to be careful not to put fingers on the lenses. The camera is well designed and has plenty of features. While the image from the 360° lenses is good, some might find it lacking in detail. You just have to remember the image covers a sphere, not a rectangle, so the pixels must cover a much larger scene. The wide angle lens provides much more detail, since it covers a much smaller area. Transfer of images to the computer worked well. The Studio program for Windows, while not up to the standards of more sophisticated editors, does a respectable job of editing and conversion.

We bought this camera after reading and watching youtube reviews on 10 different models, this one seemed to be the best and most reliable performer overall. So far it has not let us down. My son loves bringing it around with him to outdoor adventures and for $50 it's hard to imagine getting better quality. The plastic case in front of the camera lens is not super resistant to scratching so be aware and try to keep it from scraping into things--my son learned that within the first couple days. The one or two scratches he got on it have not affected the video quality though and I'm sure we can get a replacement case and he can learn not to let it scratch against hard surfaces.

Okay so this webcam has a good quality picture and audio is pretty righteous but what I liked most about this camera was complete Debian Linux support (as of Nov 12, 2017). Running Parrot OS, don't worry its just Debian with special sauce... regardless. I plugged it in, kernel identified it, no questions asked, no installation just worked straight out of the box.Mounted easily to my 50" TV. Pivots up and down but not left to right. I do see that it has the standard size threaded hole for a tripod. Everything but the camera lens had a protective layer of plastic. On the camera lens was fingerprints from the factory worker but a lens cloth cleared that right off. I can not compare it to other webcams because this is the first one I have had in several years.When testing in Debian I found it at /dev/video0 and using vlc was a simple way to test it. On the VLC menu hit Media -> Open Capture Device -> in the Video device name enter /dev/video0 (if you dont find it there just count up video1, video2, ...) -> in the Audio device you enter that device name plughw:C920 if you bought this camera. This is a great action camera. I upgraded from the EK-7000. The viewscreen is now a touchscreen, and it is larger! Now there is a choice of lens angle width (there are four selections). The optics are incredible, and the camera adjusts itself to light or focus (you can set these yourself, too). It works nicely indoors, and well in bright sunshine. New features include time lapse video, and easy connection to my phone with the iSmart DV app. You definitely need a micro SD memory card to access all the features (this one can take up to 64GB). It's now full 1080 HD video. The waterproof case, straps and holders, and an extra battery, make the Pro ready to go and easy to use. AND at a great price. I highly recommend it.

 Great baby monitor! Very clear picture and night vision, large range of motion to view entire room, large display, easy to set up and use. I really like that I can talk to my baby with the monitor, play music, and move the camera around for a better view. I also really like the option of using the wide angle lens, which just screws up to the camera so you can take it on or off as needed. Really easy to set up as well. Battery lasts a long time too, charges quickly.Great customer service as well! They sent a free crib mount to celebrate their birthday! Arrived quickly with no problems.

Arrived much earlier than expected and in EXCELLENT condition. Included lens hoods and a sony carrying case, which I didn't expect. No scratches or signs of use - might as well be brand new. I'm very pleased with this seller.The camera has exceeded my expectations in terms of image quality and manual controls. My favorite feature is the ability to transfer photos to my phone wirelessly using the Play Memories app. I'm not able to transfer videos to my iPhone, but I haven't tried it on the desktop so maybe it works there. Despite this, the ease of wireless control is so great - complete opposite of the wifi connectivity experience with my GoPro camera, which is God-awful and laggy.

I have been using Insta360 products for quite some time now and the ONE RS is now my favorite of the bunch and even now my favorite action camera to use over anything else. The 4K boost lens is amazing and I'm super impressed with the quality of video I'm getting (super crisp and there's even a 6k widescreen mode). Battery life, stabilization, and touch screen have been improved as well as the camera case being very intuitive to use. As an automotive videographer/enthusiast, the ONE RS is a must have in your gear kit, and if you're feeling experimental - they have the 360 mod so you can get insane 360 footage too!
