Great camera
I have had this camera for almost 4 years and I think that it takes fantastic photos. I just completed a 365 project using it, and even after daily use for a year, I have had no issues so far. It is easy to use and has a lot of great features. I would recommend the body only as I do not like the kit lens. I don't think that it takes very sharp images and have acutually just put it away at this point in favor of my 17-40mm or my f/1.8 50mm.

Good solid head but check screw tightness over tim
Purchased this two years ago. Love the joystick and stability. However, I was about ready to replace it with a traditional ball head because of drift problems that have been getting progressively worse. I shoot with a Canon 5D Mark III which is pretty heavy. Add a 70mm-200mm or 100mm-400mm lens and you've got a fair amount of weight. The head can easily handle this load but over time, I've noticed considerable sag after setting the spot I want the lens to focus on. I've also been getting several blurred shots if shutter speed exceed a couple of seconds. In reading reviews on the 322RC2, I noticed a couple of reports regarding tightening the shiny Allen screw situated close to the thumb area of the joystick. I checked it, it was a tad loose, and after tightening the screw the lens sag is gone and all is well.

Great telescope for my 9 year old
Great telescope for my 9 year old. The 20mm lens works best for him. We can see stars really clear. The moon looks amazing with this telescope. Great for beginners.

Great gimbal for the price!
Really great gimbal for the price. Light weight construction makes it easy to haul around compared to other gimbals.Balance is a little off for my d850 and a 200-500mm lens, but I can live with it.

Sharp, colorful, beautiful photos
[Impression of the lens and photos]This lens is light, short, very well made, and ultra fast. It takes sharp, colorful, beautiful photos.[Consideration 1]On most "prosumer" digital cameras (20D, 50D, etc), the 17mm is not 17mm but is really more like a 28mm. However, on a Canon 5D MkII it is a true 17mm.[Consideration 2]f4 can reduce the quality of the shot in low light level shots. To overcome this, I will higher the ISO setting, but noise will result. That said, f4 is not a show stopper and will degrade only a few shots. If you have the cash, the 2.8 version should be a serious consideration. Also, I bought 2 cheaper, fast primes for those times where low noise counts more than convenience.[Consideration 3]If you shoot RAW (and you should), it's not just the lens and camera that matters. The Canon manuals do not stress the nature of RAW but RAW may require sharpening, depending on the subject matter. If you shoot portraits and some landscapes, you will probably not need to sharpen too much and might even want to soften focus. But, for other subject matter, you will probably have to apply some sharpening to RAW images. You will also probably have to apply lighting level and contrast adjustments too, to bring out the life in the shots.[Consideration 4]AF. I give the AF performance of this lens 4.99 stars and MF is 5.0 perfect. The speed, noise level, and accuracy of the AF is superb. Consider the body you have as part of the system as some cameras do now focus as well as others do.[Perspective]My favorite glass of all time was a Nikon manual focus 24mm (on an F3) - a masterpiece combo. That was sold so this lens is my current favorite and I would recommend it as a small, light, and well made zoom.

Twice the reach.
Gives me the extra reach for my 300mm that the 1.4 does not have. Version III is superior to the previous version by a mile. I still keep the 1.4 on the lens mostly but if I need it I have it.

Works well with a few additions
Great value for money but I added a long camera plate and another 15mm rail clamp for added stability with a heavy camera and 15mm rail extensions

Boring in all the right ways to be pretty dang goo
35mm focal length on full frame-- not the most extreme wide angle nor a crazy long focal length that isolates your subject and gets rid of everything else. Just... normal-ish. Easier to use for walk around stuff than 50mm in my experience, but depending on your preferences ymmv.Image stabilized... but in my experience it hasn't made enough of a difference to change my shooting habits.f/1.8, usable. Not gonna blur the heck out of everything on a lens this wide but it allows shooting in pretty dark conditions.Decently sharp, not incredibly so.SLOW autofocus, but it works.Reasonably small.Good close focusing distance. It all adds up to a lens that doesn't particularly excite me to use, but one that I could leave on my camera all the time and not be disappointed by. It just sorta works and the only thing that regularly gets in the way is the slow autofocus motor.Would highly recommend a 3rd party lens hood for this, the Canon one isn't anywhere near as big as a 35mm can benefit from.
