Replaced a failing generic 16GB SDHC
Before this, I had an old generic 16GB Class 10 card in my point-and-shoot digital camera I used for the past 3 years. The contacts started rubbing off after continual insert/removal and the card itself just felt delicate from the beginning. I never felt comfortable storing anything on it so I was constantly making backups and making it worse each time I removed the card. At the time I thought it was a great value for the size and that's all I was looking at.Lesson learned: Never buy generic cards regardless of the capacity and cost if you value reliability. Not that it matters now. 3 years later you can now get double the capacity at half the price without buying generic. With this Kingston card as a replacement and I can already tell it is much higher quality and doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart easily. Technology only gets better with time.
