My husband and I have been star gazzing since we bought this is a reallyneat telescope its very clear and powerful lens we love it!

I have a Gopro as well and I have to say this camera is great. Great price and really good crisp picture. I can afford more than one which can allow me to get several angles. Great gift idea for younger people who want to use these types of camera's.

I gave only 1 star for zoom because it covers the telephoto lens on my phone and doesn’t come with its own zoom. But I gotta say, I’m really happy with the quality of this product! I thought it would be a cheap little lens. But it’s not!

This is the lens I use 90% of the time. Its a great investment. Pictures are sharp and the wide angle zoom suits most needs. The construction s typical L - great. I've used this lens on several Canons and have always had positive results. Expensive, but worth it.

I've purchased digital cameras over the past 12 years, i've purchased; sony, canon and nikon. This is my first dSLR and I have to say this is a perfect camera.PRO's:- This camera allows for a great diverse menu system for each mode, which gives tool tips for each setting. Its great for those who are unsure of what a setting will do, this will actually tell you what to expect.- Its menu once you understand SLR features you will find out how to make this camera perfect for fast pictures and great detail with contrasts of colors and shapes.- Its shutter speed and overall night pictures can be made to look stunning.- In my first night with this camera, I took some test pictures that once I understood the different modes and shutter settings, all it took was a bit of a steady arm and I made lit up house walkways look like something from a movie. (Don't get me wrong its not "Movie" style, but when you come from a Point and Shoot camera user to a SLR you go up 10 folds of quality so its just amazing.)- It stores 2,100 pictures on a 16GB SD Card, which isn't bad I think for 12MegaPixel camera.- A LOT of different modes. This camera can go up to ISO 6400 which is insane, and if you hold your hand right you can make the most stunning pictures with no flash. You can easily become a photographer if you just take the time to test the modes and settings. When I looked at friends camera's they always made it seem like it was very difficult to use them, but after a full day of testing using different settings, to take pictures at restaurants, at the mall at mountain sides its very great quality.CONS: (Yes I do have Cons....) But to me doesn't effect the score of the camera- To me i'm not used to the bulkyness of SLR's its something I got to get used to, but if you have a smaller wife or kids they may have a harder time holding it. So it just depends on the user and family.- It only zooms to 5x I thought when I bought it it defaulted @ 5x and went up to 10x but I was mistaken, its the only thing thats hard w/ the stock lens. But soon as I get back from my trip i'll be buying a better lens.- Its battery is pretty spendy but I guess thats normal for majority of SLR's so I don't think its per-say a negative just you can't bring along an extra pack of batteries just in case.....CONCLUSION:I love this camera so far, its a little bulky but its the price of having better picture quality. It also wasn't bad for consistency you can see the amount of reviews over its product lifespan. All of this made it clear to spend the extra $150 and get this model. For anyone who wants to get a great starter dSLR go with this model, it comes with a lens and flash. Don't be fooled! This camera has a popup flash, I seen the connector and ALMOST passed it up because I was unaware it popped up.So go have fun w/ this camera, just don't get discouraged with the features, for all those who didn't think this generated great images, its only because they didn't understand the settings and the features. Its all about the right setting for the right scene, just like a movie. So go out and buy this camera, it will FOR SURE not let you down.
