It is a full metal construction with a rubbery grip on one of the legs so you can easily hold the tripod and walk around with it. Its legs can fold up completely or fold down completely, the ball head is extremely versatile, allowing for great angles and it is tight, so once you tighten it down, it's not going anywhere. Its rugged and solid design is perfect for the outdoor photography I do as I don't have to worry about it breaking or getting damaged. I used to use a cheap plastic and "metal" tripod that I had bought for $30, but this thing blows that out the water.Oh, and did I mention that this thing comes with its own bag and cover? Sheesh, talk about above and beyond. If you're looking for a great tripod and an amazing price point, this is the one for you. Don't bother looking around cause you'll really be amazed by the quality of this product.
