A nice filter.
I have to admit, I'm really surprised by the quality of this. I had a recent issue where I had damaged my lens filter threads and ordered a repair tool to try and fix. I bought this filter because if the repair tool didn't work I was going to bust out the glass on this filter and force it on my lens to act as a permanent thread for filters. However, the repair tool worked! So, I don't need to break this filter as a last ditch effort. Now, I already have a great UV for my lens, but this one is actually really nice. Solid brass, good glass. If my current one ever breaks, I can use this as a backup. I'll give it 5 stars, it appears to be a good filter, but I don't know how it holds up to minor damage or if it detracts from the image at all. However, it does not appear to do that, light passes through the filter under inspection quite well.

Replaced all my original lens caps with this one
Perfect. Replaced all my original lens caps with this one. Easier to use than the side grip ones. Holding on well to the front threads.

Good ND but Mine Came Used?
Great ND filter for the price. I'm only knocking off a star because my filter looked used as the paint on the threads we're worn and there was little packing cardboard shreds all over it. Still a pretty good ND filter.

Permanent Set-up: good filter for those not removi
Pros:Excellent construction, impeccable glass, thin enough to prevent any vignetting @24mm (FX lens with crop body=36mm), yet has additional exterior threads if you desire to screw on more filters. Unnoticeable chromatic aberrations, and the colors remained neutral without post-processing of white-balance, or adjustment in the field.Cons:Can be difficult to remove if your use calls for the removal of the UV filter as the tread on the exterior ring is only located every 120 degrees and is not a deep tread.Overall:Would recommend for users whom are not removing their UV filter often, If you are removing the filter for other applications, I would recommend purchasing the X4 version, as the removal of the filter on the X2 can be difficult with the shallow tread on the exterior of the lens. Overall good filter.

High quality lens filter kit at a great price
I have a lot of Neewer photography gear. My collection started based on price, but it's the high quality that has kept me seeking out their products, and what makes their gear such a value. This lens filter kit is a great example. The 6 lens filters are pristine and the hard case is firm and protective. I don't have a GoPro, instead I ordered this for my 58mm Nikkor lens. Since I won't be using the GoPro adapters, I wish the larger foam cutouts were kept at filter size. But that's an easy modification that I can make. I have a CPL filter from another brand that gets stuck on the threads of my UV filter every time I use it. No such threading issue with these, the filters spin on and off smoothly. This is a worthwhile purchase. Highly recommend.

No vignetting, even at 10mm
I needed a polarizing filter for my ultra-wide angle lens, and after a bit of research, I learned that it was very hard to avoid vignetting at the widest angles, and that a high quality slim filter might reduce, but perhaps not eliminate the problem. I decided to take a chance on the Hoya filter. Glad I did. Paired to a Canon 10-18mm lens there is no vignetting, even at 10mm. Because the filter is so thin, some care is required with installing the filter so as not to damage the threads. The Canon lens cap does attach to the Hoya polarizer without a problem. Finally, the optical quality is excellent. I see no signs of distortion or chromatic aberration. In addition, I don't get the dark banding from the polarizer across the sky that some less expensive polarizers produce. The color deepening effect is even and pleasant, The operation of the rotating bezel is smooth, and the bezel holds the position it is turned to.
