I was able to test the K&F CONCEPT BV40 Fluid video head a bit and am really pleasantly surprised. The first thing I noticed compared to my previous, significantly larger fluid head is the extremely low weight and the small pack size. This makes the BV40 the ideal companion for traveling, especially when filming with smaller mirrorless cameras.

An absolute highlight for me is the well-thought-out solution that the head natively supports DJI stand plates (such as the RS4 Pro). This allows me to remove my camera from the gimbal in a flash and place it directly on the stand without having to change any plates. This is a huge speed advantage in workflow.

I also really like the handle, which can be extended if necessary. So you can keep it short for transport or extend it to the full length for softer pans.

Of course, you have to be aware that this compact head doesn't offer all the features you would expect from large, heavy video heads. However, the existing functions, such as liquid damping and 360° panoramic capability, are completely sufficient for the vast majority of everyday applications.

However, I have one minor point of criticism that I have to agree with previous speakers: The magnetically held Allen key. The magnet could definitely be stronger. Although the key doesn't fall out by itself when moving forcefully, it comes off when you touch it slightly.

Conclusion: Overall, the price-performance ratio here is perfect for me. You get a silky, sturdy and, above all, extremely portable fluid head, which makes the workflow with gimbals noticeably easier. Clear recommendation!
