The search for tools that amplify the creative possibilities of our equipment is, after all, a constant. And on this horizon, the K&F Concept magnetic mount for the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 proves to be an object of considerable interest, capable of offering concrete solutions to those who want to explore new shooting perspectives. What is immediately striking is the structural solidity: an all-metal body that, combined with a powerful magnet, gives the support an intrinsic strength. This combination makes it surprisingly versatile. True, it's not ideal for curved surfaces, such as a sign post or a bicycle frame, where the grip would be precarious. But on flat metal surfaces, the grip is absolutely guaranteed. I also had the opportunity to check it on the body of a car; the important thing is to exercise some caution in case of extreme stress and, above all, to pay attention to the removal, since the magnet has no rubber coating and could, if not handled with care, affect the paint. And it should be noted immediately, to avoid misunderstandings, that the product is exclusively magnetic, although the title may suggest a non-existent suction cup. A feature that further amplifies its potential is MagSafe compatibility. This peculiarity allows you to attach the Pocket 3 directly to a smartphone or to a case that supports this technology. This opens up a range of new options: from vertical shooting that exploits two points of view, to the use of the smartphone display to manage the gimbal through the DJI application, to the simple possibility of attaching the Pocket 3 to a MagSafe dashboard mount. The design, although devoid of particular shapes, proves to be effective. Thanks to an extraordinarily strong clip closure and anti-slip rubber pads, the mount wraps around the camera with exceptional hold, as if it were a belt. It is also possible to mount it on the handle extension or on the additional battery. Although it has been designed not to block access to the memory card, inserting or removing the microSD can still be cumbersome without the aid of a thin tool; in these cases, the fastest solution is to remove and reposition the support. For a maximum precision application, I suggest mounting the holder with the Pocket 3 housed in its original DJI case. However, for everyday convenience, the ideal combination is made with the K&F Concept protective case for DJI Osmo Pocket 3. This, in my opinion, offers greater protection than the gimbal's gimbal and, thanks to a significantly reduced footprint compared to the original case, allows you to store the entire configuration in your pocket, ready for action at any time.
