Not the loudest and has a very short range
I bought this for my outdoor pool area. It makes sense as it's "waterproof" and wireless it should be pretty easy to just leave it and forget it.When I received it, I placed it on my pool's spa shelf so I can hear my tv as the spa runs since they can be loud. But the problem is my TV's speakers are louder than the speaker and it's 16' away from my spa.The second problem is it rained one night and when I went to use the speaker, it wouldn't turn on. Somehow, water penetrated the speaker. I can understand the issue if the speaker got dropped into the water but to get rained on, I somewhat expect the device to be able to withstand that based on the description. To the company's credit, they did replace my unit but I now store it under cover when not in use to protect it from the elements and when I ever do splash it, I make a mad dash to dry it off immediately out of fear it won't work. The last issue I have with it is the speaker's grates rust. I'm not sure why they would use a rusting material for a supposedly waterproof device except for cheaper parts but once water touches those, you better be quick to dry it off or expect this to develop rust spots on its exterior.
