I'd give it a higher review except I ended up ordering the wrong card for it because you have advertised the wrong card to purchase with this camera. I see another customer complained about this to the manufacturer and yet the wrong card is still on this site for this camera. Please remove this misinformation as people will continue to purchase the wrong card. Thank you!

Overall we are happy with the purchase. We've gotten good pictures/video of critters in our backyard in the night time which is what we wanted. My husband didn't seem to have any trouble with setup. The only thing I would caution is that this device eats up batteries big time; just be prepared for that. It takes eight AA batteries and we just replaced the first batch after about 2-3 weeks of use (not that we used it every single night but did use it several nights during that time period).

The picture quality is ok but not outstanding compared to a couple I have borrowed. The lag means what triggered the camera is usually out of the way. I haven't gotten no nighttime pictures or videos. I started with videos and when there weren't any tried JUST pictures. I have a feral cat colony I monitor. I put this up near the path they have to take across my patio to get to the feeding station. I KNOW there are possums and racoons that come after dark I can see the evidence left by them and tracks. but no pictures. I initially thought I must have set something up wrong, so I have tried it with several different settings and locations with no nighttime videos. The pictures of the cats are blurry I can usually identify individuals but only in about half the pictures it captures. Also the information here in Amazon says contact them with problems but I don't see anything that says HOW to contact them.Update-My previous comments got their attention and their customer support was very eager to solve my problems via email.After changing batteries a 2nd time (also recommended not using rechargeable batteries) and putting in a new card, the night vision is working.The camera is very sensitive and picks up blowing trees and grass as well as animals. I recommend checking it often 2 days of videos netted me about 800 video clips, which took a long time to review. And with the lag between the motion detection and the recording starting, most of those were empty. I have tried over the last several weeks to put it in different locations, with different settings and hoped for better results. It's a mixed bag. I have managed to capture at least a few times the racoons, opposums, deer, and even a skunk once. I think it would be fine if you were using it to track large and slower moving animals (or people) but it still doesn't do what I was looking for.I have updated my review to reflect the attentive customer service and that they are willing to give me a refund because I am not satisfied with this camera.

Overall the camera features are excellent. Similar config menu to most game cameras. This one has an option for motion sensitivity and a setting that allows you to say it is a security instead of a game camera. That is really helpful. Picture quality is excellent. I had two minor complaints. First the Amazon "Frequently Bought Together" tab shows full size SD cards. This camera requires a micro SD card and can do up to 32 GB. Second in the security config, when a vehicle or animal is moving quickly, it gets blurred in the picture. However, for the price, these options are acceptable.

We purchased several of these cameras to help identify what critters occupy some rural property we recently purchased. I selected this brand because I had tried it previously with good results and I like that it uses a standard size SD data card. Other brands often opt for the micro cards, which I find too small to handle easily. I saved a little money by purchasing the black color instead of camo and they are both equally difficult to spot in my experience. The camera is easy to set up. We've had good results with both daytime and night shots, including our very first sighting of a mountain lion after more than 25 years of looking. The cameras have detected creatures as small as mice and many others, including skunks, owls and, of course, hundreds of rabbits. We eagerly look forward to checking our camera shots on a regular basis. The findings have caused me to further improve my safety protocols when hiking because I now have a clear view of who else is out there!

This is a retraction of the review below, but I will leave in case someone else has similar issues. After I wrote the review I stumbled on how to send a message to the seller via Amazon portal, was contacted by the seller asking what was happening and offered specific instructions. A new new set of batteries and a fresh format of the card in the 2nd camera (thankfully I had bought 2) got this camera back on it's feet and working as well as it always had. Not sure if it was the card being formatted in the computer or if the other set of batteries were not up to snuff. Does not matter, prompt response with proper steps to correct my issue. Once again a happy hunter with cameras that seem to be a good value for money. Really guessing it was the batteries more than the format because I always format in the computer and the 2nd camera has never had a hiccup.Initial Review:Bought a pair of these, delivered September 28th per Amazon, unit in question was deployed in woods the on October 1st 2020. Went to check card on November 14th, no images. Tried to check unit for date etc, when switched on it only blinks the screen showing all symbols in each flash, will not switch into menu mode. If the menu is repeatedly press it will go into continuous display but will not shut off until battery tray is removed. Lasted a total of 6 freaking weeks. Decent pictures until then, other unit still works so I now have one of these cameras for just under $100 dollars. Very disappointed. Have not be able to find easy way to get in touch with seller about this issue .

If was easy to use and setup

Simple trail cam, easy to use, works perfectly. I’m setting it up by the end of my property to check what’s back there and plan on having it by my lifestock and chicken pen as well to figure out what’s passing by. Overall it works well, you need 8 batteries and the as card

Decent for the price, picture quality is all right. You definitely get what you pay for.

SD card not included and the ones recommended by Amazon were incorrect. 32 GB was correct, just not TF micro to fit inside unit. Grr.
