I recently moved back to America from Japan and had to leave a lot of stuff behind, Including a Manfrotto tripod so I needed a new tripod to sell some things to help me get back on my feet. I looked at geekoto and some other brands and they're all pretty much like this one except they either had plastic where I didn't want plastic or it wasn't clear where the plastic on the tripod is. Using the Manfrotto for years, I at least know where I like there to be metal and this K&F unit has a cast aluminum mount and ball and it's all very smooth.Likes:Ball head: is solid and smooth. I would have preferred a toggle over a screw for the quick release plate.Legs: well they're legs, the aluminum feels solid. The also have stabby things at the bottom if you remove the rubber feet. Some one mentioned the locks for the leg extension were unfinished and sharp. Mine are comfortable to use.Column: Not too much to say. It does it's job. All the locks have comfortable rubber grips. Someone mentioned the column will collapse if pushed down on. That's true of mine too but I have to make an effort. It's not something that's happened during normal use.Portability: was not a selling point for me but it's nice to have the optionMonopod: also not a selling point but another nice to have the option. I've never used one before but now that I have the option I might.Bag: not a selling point, but it's a nice one if the zippers stand up to use, aka not YKK zippers.Dislikes:Legs: the spring-loaded locks for the top leg extensions seem weak. On lock solidly clicks into place, the other two are kinda, meh. This might not bother you but it makes a difference to me when setting the tripod up in the dark. The audible clicks tell me where the legs are set. Conclusion: Ball head is solid. With the exception of the leg locks not clicking solidly/audibly, into place, the unit is well built, uses high quality parts and is enough for what I want it to do and looks like it's versatile enough that I might try some stuff that I wouldn't try otherwise.

Love this tripod!! Needed a taller tripod since my camera is usually pointed at the night sky. No more bending over at awkward angles to set compositions or reviewing shots. No issues with its construction and the ball head clamps down tightly.

Delivery was faster than their target date to Sg. Feel a bit heavy weight.

This one feels like a lower quality than previous models I’ve purchased from K&F. The included quick release is nice. Good mechanics and articulations. Overall great tripod.

I absolutely love how easy it is to hang camera upside down and how wide you can make the stance. The Ferris wheel shot was taken on a really odd area that had one leg almost straight and the others way out in order to keep it from being knocked over by other pedestrians. The shell shot was hung upside down near the beach. One of the best tripods I have ever used, would buy again.

I e been through 3 different tripods within the last year and this is by far the best quality for the price. Comes with a carrying case and folds up nicely. Very sturdy and not flimsy like the others I’ve purchased. The red accent is a nice touch as well. Love that this can be made into a monopod as well.

I have 4 other quality tripods like this one. But the reason I bought this was because I can convert it into a monopod in seconds. Something none of my other tripods can do. And when I am moving around, or when I am in crowds ... a tripod isn't possible. Now with this, when I have to convert it to a monopod stick, I can do it in seconds and follow the action. And when in crowds I don't need any extra space .... the monopod stands right between my legs and works great. The quality of this is very impressive. No plastic crap or cheap parts. This thing is rock solid. And when done, it collapses into a super small size of just 1.5 feet. Yet when totally extended, I can get it up to 6.5 feet! Very lightweight too so it's easy to hang off my camera slingbag or backpack. An awesome tripod.

The past few years I have had the fortunate opportunity to be able to try out many different types of camera equipment. I find that there are three big categories: heavy-duty, standard use, and travel. This tripod from K&F Concept is definitely designed to be in that third group. I have a couple of travel tripods that do a fantastic job of holding my full-frame Canon 5D Mark IV with a 70-200mm lens attached. I said that to mention that sometimes the smaller, lighter-weight tripods get the job done so you don’t have to haul around the heavier standard size mounts. K&F Concept did a nice job with the design of this tripod. It’s very lightweight at only 3.17 pounds, which is comparable to my travel-sized Manfrotto tripod. This tripod has an impressive total height to it of 78 inches, which should be enough for any photograph you need to capture. I am shooting a wedding in a couple of weeks and I have the idea of shooting above the audience from the back of the venue. At 78 inches, this tripod provides the necessary height to be able to achieve that ‘over-head’ shot I’m looking for. The ball head moves easily enough, but the numbers on the bottom dial are faded and printed in a very light color. It’s hard to read -- even in studio lighting. I personally think that those numbers should be printed in a brighter, more vibrant color -- maybe even neon. The legs extend easily, but the quick-release flip-locks have very sharp edges. I went to unlock one of the legs and the edge of the lock clipped my finger and I started bleeding. I was surprised to find such a sharp edge on a finished product like this. Another issue I found was with the center column. It seemed as though no matter how much I tightened it, I could still push the column down. I was only pushing down with as much force as a camera load would provide.I really like that the feet had spikes on them. This provides a lot of added traction especially out in nature. It’s not something you see on every tripod and it was a welcome surprise with this design. All in all, the K&F Concept 78-inch Camera Tripod is a decent, sturdy tripod for beginners. I think that professional-level photographers might find the same flaws with it that I did. I do think that any level of photographer can get use out of this -- especially in places where it might get destroyed. In other words, it’s a good backup tripod.

I've just begun using this tripod after years of using my reliable old Gitzo. Everything about this K&F tripod exceeds my expectations. I didn't expect such a well-thought-out design, such fine machine work, great choices of materials, and tough finish for the $80 price. At my favorite local camera store, travel tripods of this quality cost two to four times as much.If there's one thing I might change, and only if I use it for movies, it would be the head. In that case, I'd want one with a handle that extends several inches for panning.I haven't added any photos because those already in the listing are perfect. No, nobody's paid me to write this.
