Maybe we will cut cable. I returned our extra cable box. It wasn’t worth the $10 a month rental since I mostly use an Apple TV in the home gym But wife likes to watch the local stations when she works out (more like she’s frustrated with that awful ATV remote).Even down the basement, near a window it picks up all the local stations she needs.

Super simple to set up. I am able to pick up 27 local channels. Of course, interference does occur from bad weather and even if a large truck passes by, but that is the nature of antennas. Flatter than a pancake and easily moved so you can find that sweet spot for the best reception.

I installed this for my mother, in Utah, near SLC. Picked up a lot of channels, but most of the channels don't have programming that she or I like. There are many ways to pick up free channels, this being one. Others include smart TV devices with free TV apps.

I did my homework on indoor antennas, using Consumer Reports, and this product was listed as a "Best Buy". Once you find a good spot to place the antenna, you can calibrate your TV to local channels. My TV has built in Firestick, with internet programs like Netflix and Prime. I can easily switch between local channels or internet viewing. In my opinion, placement on window or outside wall is best reception, but I live at the extreme range of local broadcasting.

I was not able to get any more channels than I did with rabbit ears I purchased many years ago. The only gain was that I can now (most of the time) put this antenna behind my TV, instead of in front of the window. That is a gain, but a small one compared to what they said this antenna could do. I wish it came with a stand, I had to figure that out myself. I still have to move it in front of the window for my favorite NBC show, and their tower is not that far from me, and I still get blockiness some of the time even in front of the window. I rated "Sheerness" a 4 but I don't even know what that is.

A small gadget named 'booster' is inside the package. At first I put it up. Orange light lit up. Right after setting up my tv could get 20+ channels. That was good. BUT, day by day the number of channels went down. After a week the number was 7~10 & lost channel 7. Channel rescanning didn't help at all. So after about 10 days I went up and checked connections & tried to take off the 'booster' just in case. Now, the number of channels went back up to 18~20 and pictures were clearer. What went wrong with your 'booster'? Should I call it fake? Because of that thing I rated 3*s.

I love how I get more channels of shows that I really want to watch and it is much clearer.
