I was always hesitant to use these and usually just relied on ramming my shutter speed through the roof. I'm pleased to say that I'm very happy with this item and its results. The clarity appears to be the same as without it. There's a slight color cast to the image but with digital this doesn't matter.

This filter is very dark which allows you to take longer exposures. This allows one to blur moving objects on purpose. The lens threaded into my 58mm with no issues. Image colours are preserved with no distortions. This is the darkest filter I have every owned. It is so dark that in dim daylight such as a heavily overcast day it is hard to see enough to focus. Even the autofocus had trouble. That being said, this filter has specific uses such as the blurring effects on moving objects and for that it is very good.

I usually shoot with much lower ND values but was curious to see how this ND1000 filter would work. It comes in a rather large universal lens case and the quality of the filter is very good.On my Canon T5i, the 58mm filter screwed right in without any trouble - man is this filter ever DARK! I've been highly impressed with the results: no color cast and I'm able to get very long exposures with excellent results.Overall, a nice filter that will give you very nice results at long exposure times.

For the price, I was a little skeptical. But the quality of the glass is great, the filter body is solid, & the threads screw-on nicely. Excited to get more LE's.

The first thing I checked was the colour cast that this filter might impart and any effect on resolution. The lens used was a Sony 24-70mm f/2.8 GM, a very sharp lens at 24mm. I found practically no colour cast and no resolution loss, keeping in mind that the sensor itself undergoes some reciprocity failure during long exposures (it's worse with film).

I'm very impressed with this filter. I just picked it up and wanted to compare it to my B+W 10 stop...the difference is huge ! The B+W leaves a heavy purple cast that is not very easily correctable in post. This one leave a slight one but very easily correctable...and at a fraction of the price !Money well spent I would say

With no doubt I can say after countless hours of research and trying multiple other NDs, this is your best bet. For the low cost, it stands out, but low cost must mean low quality, right? Nope. This filter delivers sharp images as well as low light. It delivers, more or less, perfect 10-stop lighting. If you are debating purchasing this, DO IT!
