These lens protectors only gave me one issue. While using them out in the cold rain last night they worked to protect my X5's lenes, but also started fogging up due to the cold rain. I've added a short video showing the rain and how they look. When it's dry you don't really notice them being installed on the camera. They fit the camera perfect. They were a little tricky to install but once properly installed the camera software noticed they were on. They would probably have been less tricky for someone with smaller hands to install them. The lens protectors seem well made. Since I'm planning on using this camera for indoor and outdoor 3D tours as a tool, and not out running around on dirt bike or cliff jumping these lens protectors might not be something I really need. I'm rating these lens protectors at four out of five, since they work really good. (even if they fog up a little in cold/wet weather).

Okay, this lens guard is pretty sweet! I just got one for my camera, and I'm already impressed with how well it protects the glass. It's super easy to put on and take off too, which is a huge plus. Seriously, if you're looking for some extra lens protection, I highly recommend checking one of these out. You won't regret it!

If you’re an Insta360 owner, you know you can never have too many of these little lifesavers. Backups for your backups—that’s the mantra. Haven’t slapped these on the camera yet, but given my filming pace for the channel, they’re probably just two “oops” moments away from glory. For now, they live in the camera bag, ready to step in when the inevitable drop, scratch, or rogue tree branch comes calling. Peace of mind for your pricey optics.

Installation is a total breeze—just line up the red dot toward the bottom, and it snaps into place in seconds, no tools or complicated steps required. Even better, once they're on, the original rubber cover still fits perfectly, keeping everything snug and protected as before. That said, I've noticed a bit of ghosting in some shots after installation, particularly in low-light conditions or with bright light sources, which can slightly affect image quality if you're picky about clarity.

Overall these are a reasonable accessory to have for your X5. I just got my camera (for an upcoming trip) and I wanted to be sure that I have the ability to protect my lenses if necessary. I plan to bring a replacement lens kit with me as well, but I will be somewhere that I can't get any local replacements, so its nice to have these with me in case I find that the camera I at risk. That said, these installed easily, thought the fit is a bit tight. They don't seem to degrade the image quality or stitching functionality. The only downside I found was that this makes it so that lens guards don't fit very well (primarily because these protrude so far). I think these are a worthwhile 'insurance' policy to have for your camera (though a big selling point of the X5 is easily replaced lenses, which are only slightly more than these guards.

I normally don’t like using lens guards on my 360 cameras and with the replaceable lenses on the X5, there aren’t completely needed since you can swap the lens out yourself if you damage them. But sometimes I just know I’m going to need extra protect on them especially when I’m doing extreme activities. They’re super easy to put on, just simply twist them on. Being made of glass instead of PC, they’re much higher quality. They don’t affect the image too much, but being a lens in front of a lens, it’s definitely going to degrade the footage a bit, but it’s not bad. There is a more noticeable lens flare though, especially when shooting in the bright sun. Still a super useful cover that’s needed for the X5.

I have used several different lens protectors for my cameras and know that some are better than others. These are pretty decent! I do not notice any appreciable distortion in the resulting image, which is usually my biggest concern beyond actually protecting my camera lenses from scratches. While I have been fortunate enough not to have to test that aspect so far, I have high confidence that these will do their job in that area too. These are easy to install and have not popped off when moved or jostled. I will be getting more when these have made their sacrifice and are damaged protecting my camera lenses.

They're glass, they're incredibly clear, but they are thin so be careful. They install perfectly, fit great, and the camera detects them with no problem. I feel however that with the price of good quality lens guards, it makes more sense to just keep a spare lens on hand, as the chances of breaking BOTH lenses at once is lower than just breaking one. That being said, these are a good way to help keep the dirt dust and muck off your lenses during heavy use.

I use my X5 on my motorcycle, so the protection afforded by a lens cover is important to me. I really don't want a squashed bug to get into my lens. These lens protectors are recognized as premium covers by the X5 and the stitching is adjusted accordingly. They seem to work quite well. They're clear, and don't introduce any haze into my shots. These are on my camera every day.

OEM quality lens guard, X5 also detects the lens guard once installed, no issues with the product but I'm not a fan of the design. The guard does create an awkward lens flare under certain lighting, also dust gets into it when I had it mounted on my bike riding on dusty gravel path and create even more reflected dust specks under certain lighting. For those reasons, the use case is limited for me. I'd only use it for higher risks takes.
