K&F CONCEPT Magnetic Mount Stand Compatible with Insta360 X5/X4/X3, Foldable Handheld Grip with 1/4 Screw Hole & Arca Type Base for Tripod, Action Camera Mount Base Bracket for Go Pro Hero 13/12 Black
SKU: KF31.189
Another great K&F Concepts accessory. The magnetic hold is excellent and easily secures my Insta360 X5 to steel surfaces with confidence. It’s ideal for travel setups, cruise ship walls, or any metal mounting point where quick deployment matters. The hinge is stiff enough to hold position at any angle, and the materials feel premium throughout. Like all K&F Concepts gear, this mount feels professional-grade - well-engineered, compact, and ready for real-world use.

It's for specific use cases. The product itself is really well made. Fiber polymer plastic is strong, and finished well. The magnetic base is super strong and has padding to protect your surfaces. The hinge is all friction and there is no tension adjustment. For light devices, should be no problem. The 1/4" thread mount is as expected with a fold-out wing to enable tightening and loosening without tools.Super compact, super handy to have.

I'm not sure how or when I'll use this. I got it mainly for an Insta360 camera, where I mostly want to capture moving 360 videos with an invisible selfie-stick. If I use this on a vertical surface, one lens doesn't see much, so 360 videos are out. Still useful for other videos and can be used with other action cameras, provided they are small.I may try it for a couple of quick shots on the roof or bonnet of a car if I can convince myself that it's safe to use. Grip seems strong when I tried it indoors just now (see video), but with several hundred pounds of camera at risk, I may need to figure out a lanyard safety backup.None of that is a criticism of this specific magnetic mount, which is well-made and works. The main parts are plastic, but of the thick and rigid variety. It's all well-finished with nothing that smacks of cheap and nasty. The hinge between the two parts is well-judged (stiff enough to hold a camera without moving, but not so stiff that it's difficult to move). I will need to see if that hinge stays like that with use, as there's no way to adjust if it becomes loose (as another reviewer has pointed out).

I've been using this quite a bit this week with my new Insta360 X4 Air and it's paired really well. It's pretty basic really, a bit of folding metal with a magnet built in, with a 1/4" screw mount to attach your camera to. You also get a couple of adhesive metal plates so that you can create a surface anywhere for the mount to magnetise to. And it all works really well.I've been using the mount to attach my camera to my sim rig for a few creative shots (note, the sim rig itself is aluminium so is not magnetic, but some fixing plates attached to it are steel), and also attach to frame of the Keter shed that I keep my sim rig in. I like to have as many mounts as possible to cover all possible locations, and this is one I've not had before. It's really useful and a decent price.

As a long-time photographer, I trust K&F products because of their durable construction and consistent performance. One particularly impressive accessory combines an aluminum Arca tripod base with an adjustable, magnetic soft silicone pad that includes a ¼” mounting hole, enabling me to capture a wide range of creative shots.Ideal for Insta360 cameras, DJI Pocket models, old xenon flash units, Action Cameras and LED video lights. It also comes with two 6.5 × 4.5 cm self-adhesive metal plates, which open up even more mounting possibilities.I’ve used this setup in remote flash configurations, especially with older xenon-fired flashguns in slave mode. To make it work, I pair the flash with a cold shoe adapter, enabling both direct and bounce flash modes. The bounce-on-ceiling technique, in particular, shines for portraits and product photography, giving a soft, flattering light.Beyond traditional use, I’ve mounted this accessory on over-door hooks, chairs, and even fridge doors and kitchen extractor hoods. It’s also been a great companion for LED video lights and DJI Pocket 2 shoots, whether for Instagram content or indoor setups.Pros: • Small form factor with tripod base and flexible magnetic mounting. • Universal mounting: Includes an Universal Arca tripod base with ¼-inch screw and magnetic soft silicone pad with a ¼” mounting hole. • Creative versatility: The magnetic and adjustable flange design allows for diverse setups across gear types. • Best for Insta 360 cameras, Action Cameras, DJI pocket cameras, Old Xenon flash units and LED video lights.Cons: • The magnetic grip isn’t ideal for heavier gear above 500g—my 560g flash unit fell during testing. Holding the DSLRs for a long time is uncertain, but the listed cameras performed flawlessly, so I’m not deducting any points.Important Notes: • Not MagSafe-compatible: Magnet array may interfere with phone sensors (gyro, compass); avoid using with mobile phones. • Surface matters: Magnetic grip varies by material—mild steel offers strong hold, while painted or galvanized surfaces reduce strength. • Flash triggering limitations: Older xenon slave flashes only respond to xenon triggers even from a point-and-shoot cameras, but sadly not from LED phone flashes. • Caution: Due to its strong magnetic field, it may corrupt data if older hard disk drives come into close proximity. • Weight limit: Safely supports up to 400g; heavier devices risk falling. My Nissin i40(350g) flash worked without any issues.

The K&F Concept Magnetic Mount Stand has been a game-changer for my action camera setup. I use it primarily with my Insta360 X5, and the design is both practical and versatile. The magnetic connection is strong, ensuring the camera stays firmly in place even during motion-heavy recording sessions. The foldable and detachable design makes it incredibly portable and easy to use in various shooting scenarios. The 1/4 screw hole and Arca base add flexibility, allowing me to mount it on tripods or other rigs when needed. The metal construction feels sturdy and well-balanced, giving confidence that the camera is securely supported.I particularly appreciate the smooth magnetic detachment mechanism, which allows for quick transitions between handheld and mounted shots. It makes the entire filming process more efficient and enjoyable. The grip also feels comfortable in hand, with a matte finish that provides a secure hold.In summary, the K&F Concept Magnetic Mount Stand is an excellent accessory for action camera enthusiasts. Its thoughtful design, durability, and adaptability make it a valuable addition to any filming kit. I would readily recommend it to anyone using an Insta360 or similar camera for both professional and casual recording.

All black and lightweight :• An aluminium base, female ¼” thread; and a soft silicone pad over the strong magnets.• The hinged camera mount with ¼” folding wing screw and soft pad to hold the camera securely in place.Make certain the grips and camera are clean to prevent scratching or damage.Although the silicon pad and magnets give a confident non-slip grip to any metal surface I wouldn’t risk driving with it on the car bonnet just in case. Two 6.5 x 4.5 cm self-adhesive metal plates are also included.Easy storage - only 11 x 4 cm when folded out flat.An excellent magnetic base for my Osmo Pocket 3 that’s so much easier than clipping the camera into a plastic cradle mount.

its a very easy to use and assemble piece. The magnet is very strong and holds well. Its only limitation is that it can't be turned a lot so there is basic coverage of use with angles.Overall decent price for the product and would recommend to help film content without a tripod. The quality seems sturdy and can carry the weight so I would recommend it!
