K&F Concept Standard Lens Guards Compatible with Insta360 X5 Accessories, High Transparency Tempered Optical Glass Lens Protector Cover with Screen Protector, Anti-Scratch Cap Replacement Kit
SKU: KF31.186
Maybe I'm paranoid but I worry that I'll damage the lenses of the Insta360 - they are so easy to damage! I ordered these to help provide a level of protection from the occasional bump. They were easy to fit to the camera with the relevant adhesive rings which simply peel off and stick the lenses to the camera. The lenses don't seem to have any effect on the quality of the video recordings, nor on the pictures I've taken using the camera. They represent value for money and honestly, I'm not sure what the difference is between these lens guards and the premium version. If you have an X5, you should have some lens protectors fitted. Order these!

With the Insta360 X5 costing what it does, taking it out without protection feels like walking a crystal vase down a cobbled street. That is why I picked up the K&F Concept lens guard set. Inside the little orange box you get four toughened glass caps for the two lenses and a pair of curved screen films, each one shaped perfectly for the camera, and they twist on with a reassuring click and stay put.The glass is rated 9H and is supposed to let through 99 per cent of the light. After last Saturday’s walk up Bennachie the photographs back that up, colours and sharpness looked exactly as they should. The coating keeps smears to a minimum too, a quick polish with my sleeve and they are gone. The camera even automatically switches to its guard profile, sparing me a rummage through the menus each time. There are a couple of quirks. Indoors, beneath bright LED strips, a faint line shows up dead centre, just as K&F admit in the leaflet. The first installation also took more force than I was comfortable with, pushing a brand-new camera that hard made me sweat for a second.Even so, at roughly twenty quid it is cheaper than replacing a single scratched fisheye lens. Strong build, clear optics, a small compromise when shooting under artificial light. I will be leaving the guards on.

I received this lens guard kit as part of a review programme and have been using it on an Insta360 X5 for a few weeks. Installation is straightforward: the twist-lock mechanism feels positive and secure, and alignment with the lenses and microphone cut-outs is accurate. The X5 instantly detects the guards and switches to Lens Guard Mode, so stitching remains clean in typical outdoor use.Image quality is generally excellent. The glass is obvious with minimal extra flare outside of tricky artificial lighting, where the manufacturer’s warning about reflections near seams is absolutely valid. For indoor shoots under LEDs or spotlights, you may see some ghosting depending on the angle. The 9H screen protectors fit nicely and don’t affect touch sensitivity. Having four lens guards and two screen protectors in the box adds good value. My only wish is for slightly better anti-reflective performance for low-light and studio work.

Great quality. No scratches so far after a trip. Images aren’t distorted or changed in anyway. A must-have to protect your insta360 so you don’t have to worry about replacing the actual lens!!

These lens guards feel like a sensible bit of protection if you’re using an Insta360 X5 out and about. The build quality is good — they feel solid, fit properly, and click into place securely with the twist-lock design. Once they’re on, they stay put, even if you’re moving the camera around a lot.In normal outdoor light, the image quality holds up well. I didn’t notice any obvious loss of sharpness, and the camera correctly recognises the guards and switches modes automatically, which is handy. The coatings also do a decent job of keeping fingerprints and smudges at bay, so cleaning is quick and easy. When it comes to taking pictures indoors under artificial lighting I noticed some reflections so won't be using those guards unless I take my camera outside.

I've managed to test out and buy a number of K&F gear for my cameras, so know the brand is pretty reliable and good quality from previous usage, and this is the same.It all fits easily and seems to be pretty good quality that would hopefully protect the camera from accidental knocks and scrapes. I haven't intentionally tried to hit or scrape it, but they felt nice and strong. For what it is, it is on the expensive side. But then a small investment to protect expensive gear is probably worth it to help stop it actually getting damaged.Overall, pricey but probably worth it, feels good quality, and know it's a pretty reliable brand.

I've been using the lens covers and screen protector on my Insta360 X5 for some time now and am overall satisfied.
Assembly & compatibility:
The lens covers are automatically recognized by the X5, no manual adjustments are required — turn on the camera, leave the protection fitted, and you're done. It works reliably and without problems.
The screen protector is also easy and bubble-free to apply and fits snugly.
Image quality & reflections:
When protecting lenses, I only noticed slight reflections in direct sunlight. In normal use (outdoor, movement, action shots), this is hardly noticeable. In my opinion, this should not be avoided in principle, even with original accessories.
Material & workmanship:
The screen protector looks functional, but not quite as high-quality, at least in terms of feel. I don't have a direct comparison with more expensive alternatives here, but it reliably fulfills the protective function.
Conclusion: The
bottom line is exactly what I was looking for: additional protection for the display and lenses, easy installation, automatic recognition by the camera and no noticeable effect on use. The main thing is that the cam stays whole — and the additional protection definitely helps
