This wide angle lens turns my Osmo Action 5 Pro into a next-level camera. With this wide-angle lens, the image section expands in such a way that a completely different perspective is created and much more can be started. The lens is manufactured to a very high standard and, in my opinion, is of a professional level. This is also reflected in the heavy weight that this objective lens unfortunately entails. This makes the camera much bulkier, but the optical effect is simply enormous. An absolute must have for every Osmo Action Cam owner. The objective lens is backwards compatible, but unfortunately not upwards compatible. Therefore not usable on the Osmo Action 6. In terms of price, it is significantly lower than the original wide-angle lens from DJI, but offers 185°, a whole 3° more wide angle than the original DJI with 182° wide angle.

My conclusion: Indispensable for certain shots, and once you get used to the advantages of the wide angle, you don't want to give up this objective lens anymore.

I've always been a fan of wide-angle lenses, I like the resulting perspective and of course I'm not alone in that. With the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro, I was curious how a wide-angle lens affected the recordings and so I enjoyed the opportunity to test the lens.

With a price that is pretty much the same as the original accessories, or even slightly higher at the time of ordering, you can of course expect that the lens is no worse. Well, I don't have the original lens but the K&F fits into the DJI Osmo universe without any deviation from its quality appearance, you don't have the impression of holding anything inferior in your hand.

Removing the built-in object was a bit difficult at first, but then it worked. As expected, screwing on the K&F was easy and hassle-free.

Anyone who appreciates wide-angle perspective will not be disappointed, the viewing angle is the expected size, the lens provides space and depth and makes what is in the foreground look pretty big and highlighted, I find the colors even more contrasting and powerful.

A wide-angle lens is part of the basic equipment for me if you use the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro often, the K&F CONCEPT is definitely a very good choice!

This is an alternative to the official DJI FOV Boost lens for the DJI Action 4/5 Pro cameras.As with the original FOV Boost lens, you swap the default lens with this one on the camera's body, then enable the "FOV Boost" option in the camera settings, and you can enjoy a much wider field of view for videos or photos. But beware, this forces the "fisheye" ("Wide"/"Ultra wide") modes –the camera disables the Dewarp mode once FOV is enabled, so if you thought that you could add this lens to gain a wider FOV and then dewarp it and end up with a wider linear video, sorry... this won't work (to be clear, this is a limitation of the camera and happens also with the original FOV Boost lens, not a limitation of the K&F Concept lens here).The kit is similar to the original FOV Boost lens, as it includes the lens itself and two plastic capr for the back and front, to fully enclose/protect the lens when not in use (the minor complaint here is that due to the difference in dimensions between the default and the FOV lens, the caps can't be used to protect the default lens that sits in your hands once you screw the FOV lens on the camera).I tried both this K&F Concept lens and the original DJI FOV Boost lens side by side, and I couldn't see a noticeable difference between their field of view, so I'd consider them equivalent technically (but do note that on paper the DJI lens claims 182 degrees FOV while K&F Concept claims 180 so there might be some small difference). Admittedly, I did not test for lens flare so I can't comment for any differences in this area). The lens adds 25 grams to the camera's weight (33g vs 8g of the default lens).So the lens could be a viable alternative to the original lens. But although you'd expect an after-market alternative to be cheaper as a motive to buy it, this lens currently sells for 65€ vs 59€ for the original(!), which means nobody will prefer to buy this one. I only deduct one star because of this; at around 40€, this could be a 5-star product.

Physical quality is good. It allows you to capture a slightly wider angle, however you'll notice quite a bit of adrop in quality. The middle of the image is fine but the edges are quite blurry. If it's sunny I've noticed a lot flaring.It comes with a nice little case which is handy for keeping it secure and scratch free in the backpack.

This K&F CONCEPT wide-angle lens is designed for the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro and it comes in a thick, heavily built protective rubber casing which should be impervious to most of the things that happen to gadgets inside camera bags.Opening up the case reveals the lens itself which simply screws on the front of the camera when you take off the lens protector that the camera comes with - just take care not to cross the threads as you start to screw it on.The lens is a compound lens that reduces the focal length of the Action 5 Pro's lens to have a field of view which, at the diagonals, extends beyond the magic 180 degrees - you can see this in the photograph of the floor which, if you look at the top left and the bottom right, you will notice that you can see up the walls to some extent. Note that the lens was just a few millimetres away from the floor when this was taken.The lenses themselves are coated in order to reduce internal reflections which works quite well. The only problem that I found with this was really a result of the wide angle of the field of view insofar that if you are not careful when holding it in your hand, you will get your fingers in the shot.This is an excellent fisheye lens converter that takes your action camera beyond the magical 180 degrees and when not in use, it is well protected - just remember to keep your fingers out of shot.

I use the wide-angle lens with my DJI Osmo Action 5, and the results are really impressive. The viewing angle is significantly wider, ideal for landscape shots or dynamic sports clips. Despite the large image field, the image remains sharp and clear — only at the edge you can easily see the typical fisheye effect, which is completely normal with such an optical system.

The workmanship is high-quality: The housing looks sturdy, the glass is neatly coated, and the magnetic attachment holds securely without wobbling. It's quick to install, just twist it off, put it on and you're done. The small transport box, which protects the lens well when you're out and about, is particularly practical.

I use it a lot when hiking and cycling, and the recordings look much more dynamic and open. For me, it's a great addition to the camera — robust, lightweight and visually great.

The K&F CONCEPT wide angle lens filter for DJI Action 4 and 5 comes with a cleaning cloth and a silicone case.
The lens consists of a metal frame and multi-coated glass. The workmanship is very good and of high quality.
Installing the lens is a bit difficult because the original lens is screwed very firmly if you haven't unscrewed it before.
It definitely won't work with your fingers.
There are many different tips on the web, ranging from pliers, rubbers, 3D printing clips, etc.
We simply took a zip tie and attached it around the lens and tightened it. After moving around a bit (counterclockwise), the lens came loose and
the wide-angle lens works as expected. You get a noticeably larger viewing area, which is particularly useful when shooting action, as it allows you to see more of the landscape or the movements or filmed objects. It's also really cool when taking selfies, of course.
You can notice a slight curvature of the wide angle, but it is not strong and, depending on the wide angle or degree, it is also normal.
The images are qualitatively identical to the original lens.
Overall, a very good accessory, but it also comes at a price.
