RELIABLE POWER FOR YOUR RIG AND YOUR LAPTOP
Finding a reliable V-mount battery that doesn't cost a fortune can be a challenge. I was looking for a high-capacity power source for my main camera rig that was built tough without a lot of unnecessary bells and whistles.

This V-mount battery powers my camera rig and field monitor with zero hiccups. The PD 100W charging is a lifesaver—it recharges quickly and can even top off my MacBook in a pinch. It’s compact, feels rugged, and the LED indicators are easy to read even in low light.

K&F has stepped outside their usual accessory line to tackle V-Mount batteries, and this first attempt shows promise. The immediate impression is positive - an appealing aesthetic with a compact form factor that feels satisfying in hand.
Design highlights:
Compact form - Great for field work where size matters
Grooved face - Useful for gripping and likely helps with heat dissipation
Standard V-Mount plate - Compatible with professional broadcast equipment (lights, monitors, cameras)
LED indicators - Battery level indicator and mount light for dark environments
Performance: At 99W, this battery delivers solid power for 2-4 hours depending on your device's draw. I've been using it primarily with field monitors and appreciate the portability compared to bulkier alternatives.
Connection options are excellent: The D-Tap connection is essential for my workflow, but I'm impressed that the USB connections (including USB-C) make this versatile enough to use as a personal power bank when not on camera duty.
The main drawback: The included USB-C charging cable seems insufficient for a battery this size. At minimum, they should include a 12V or higher brick for proper fast charging. Having to source your own adequate charger is disappointing. This may contribute to the sub $100 USD price factor.
Minor quibbles: The LED battery indicator isn't very precise, and while the mount light is a nice touch for dark setups, it's more of a novelty than truly useful.
Overall: Acceptable build quality for K&F's first foray into V-Mount batteries. Good enough to recommend, especially given the compact size and versatility, but the charging situation keeps it short from being a perfect product.

The KF-V99 SE once again demonstrates the consistently high quality of K&F Concept. The build quality and materials are robust, the compact design is practical, and with a 99Wh capacity, the battery is also airplane-approved, making it ideal for mobile use.
The two D-TAP outputs and the USB-C port with 100W fast charging are particularly useful, allowing you to power not only cameras but also smartphones, tablets, and laptops. The charging speed is impressively fast and reliable.
On a camera rig, the battery delivers stable performance while remaining compact and safe thanks to its integrated BMS protection system. Instead of a display, it features LED indicators for the charge level, which is perfectly adequate for everyday use. The small nightlight on the back is a clever detail for use in low light.
In conclusion: A thoroughly successful product – reliable, compact, versatile, and perfect for travel. For me, it's a clear 5-star V-mount battery and I highly recommend it.

Although it's aimed at the photography sector (the power bank is designed for use with V-Mount/V-Lock accessories), I wanted to try this power bank because I was looking for one that would allow me to charge my Steamdeck without any problems. With its 6700 mAh capacity at 100W via USB-C, this one was perfect.
I took it with me on vacation to charge my devices, including my Steamdeck, and I have to say it performed very well!
Thanks to its 100W, it was able to charge and keep the Steamdeck and the Switch charged during gaming sessions. I also noticed that it maintained reasonable temperatures even under heavy loads, which impressed me, because not all power banks are capable of this.
When I tried to charge it from zero, it took about 2 hours to reach 100%.
It has several outputs:
- D-TAP
- USB-A output (max 24W)
- USB-C input/output (max 100W)
- BP input/output (max 16.8V 12A).
- DC-12V output
It supports various charging protocols, including PD3.0, allowing for fast charging of connected devices or for fast charging with PD power supplies.
On the side of the battery, there is a button that, when pressed, illuminates a bar with four segments, each representing 25% charge.
Holding down the power button for 2-3 seconds turns on an emergency night light, a simple LED on the bottom of the power bank.
In the coming days, I'll try to 3D print a V-mount to attach to my backpack, so I can always have it handy.
What else can I say? For the price and the performance it offers, it's an excellent all-rounder, with multiple ports to keep you handy.

These new V style batteries, specifically offered by brand K&F CONCEPT who I trust for a lot of products, and has now stepped into the V mount market, providing creatives with a what is certainly a unique looking battery among the options, but that still lasts a very long time to keep our cameras and lights going for hours while we focus on being creative. I much prefer these to the older standard NP-F options.
I am not sure if K&F offers any other versions of this battery, because this one has a unique colour choice, and I wonder if there are other colours, but didn't see any. Whatever the case, this was perfect to suit my needs.
Although V batteries are certainly bulky, there is really no better battery for the purpose of directly connecting to your rig via the V mount, and with the added benefit of a D-Tap connection for certain scenarios, as well as your standard, now-modern USB-C connections for fast-charging devices, from your camera rig to mobile phones to drones to whatever else you need a solid recharge for.
Probably it's most unique feature over other V batteries is that it has a built-in small LED flash light, which can help you check your gear in dark lighting video scenes, etc. The unit also comes with a really well-made, braided fabric USB-C to USB-C cord.
Overall, I am super happy with adding this battery to my documentary video rig in particular, and I will use it for certain lighting situations as well. 5 star product.

It amazes me how K & F have managed to pack so much power into this tiny, resilient box. There are two D-Tap connectors, a 100W dual-way USB, and a 12V output connector, as well as a full expansion tray connector. Amazing in my opinion. While this battery does not have a formal LCD display, it does have a low battery indicator. I like that it has a low power emergency LED light, as that can be useful on occasion.
I now have to question if this small form factor 99 watt battery is my new go-to favourite! It's so small I can carry this around easily and almost lose it in my pocket.

This power bank comes with a USB lead, and a user manual. The power bank is designed to be used with V-Mount, or V-Lock, accessories such as professional film and video equipment. This does have outputs for 2x D-TAP, USB-A Output, USB-C Input/Output (100W Max), DC-12V out, and a BP electrode Input/Output. This one comes with a high capacity of 6700mAh and can provide 100Wh for extended video recording and other long duration activities. There is battery power bar on the side and if you press the power button once, it will illuminate in 4 segments with each one measuring 25%. It came with 25% of power so it’s best to fully charge it before use. There is also an emergency night light which is a simple LED on the bottom of the power bank. Holding the power button in for 2-3 seconds turns this on. It’s not the brightness so it’s best not used to look in dark spaces while it’s light but in complete darkness, it’s more than enough to see things as it does illuminate things reasonably well.
I took this away with me on holiday to charge my devices. Since it provides up to 100Wh it was more than enough to charge my Steam Deck while gaming on it at the same time which is always a good test of a power bank as it demands a good amount of power to charge faster than the Steam Decks battery can drain during gaming. This impressed me as not all power banks are capable of this, but this managed it without any issues. My next test was on my action camera which I left out overnight to do a time lapse shot of the night sky. The cameras battery was still at 100% the next day and it was still recording.
This is an impressive power bank, mainly aimed at professional videographers and photography. I don’t have any of those devices as they are crazy expensive for home use but if you’re after a power bank with a high output for devices that need it, this is more than enough to power them. The 100Wh is achievable through the PD USB-C port as the USB-A has a lower output. The 100Wh is shared over all of the ports which it seems priority id for the D-TAP and BP and it will then dynamically distribute the remaining power to the other ports, If you have nothing in the D-TAP or BP ports, then all of the power is shared between the rest with priority being for the USB-C port since it carries the most power….
