K&F CONCEPT Metal Camera Cage Compatible with DJI Osmo 360 Accessories, Aluminum Alloy Protective Case | with Silicone Lens Cover | Expansion Frame with 2 Cold Shoe Mount | Built-in Charging Interface
SKU: KF12.0005
I got this cage to protect my Osmo 360 from being damaged in case it falls and to have a possibility to connect something to it, e.g. a small light for some shots. The cage is made really sturdy, and it fits the camera well. Actually, in the beginning, I thought it was even a bit too tight, but it's really well-made to fit perfectly. You just slide the camera in and close the lid. This cage has a standard tripod mount and exposes (works as an adapter) the DJI magnetic mount with charging pins. So with it, your camera stays compatible with the original accessories (e.g. the charging selfie stick). The covers for the battery and USB are still accessible as well, and you get a button cover for the power button. In addition, there are two cold-shoe mounts - one on top above the lenses and one on the side at the same height as the lenses. One should take caution to understand that the cage will also protect your camera from falling and hitting the edge, but not from direct hits to the lenses, which stay exposed (otherwise, how would you record 360?).In addition to the case, you get a rubber lens cover which you can put on. It's quite tight, so the first attempt might be tricky, but you get used to it, and the lenses stay protected when not recording.Overall, I really like this cage, and I think it's worth a recommendation.

I’ve been using this K&F Concept metal cage on my 360 action cam and it’s instantly become a permanent part of the setup. The fit is spot on: the camera snaps in securely with a reassuring click, all the buttons and ports stay accessible, and I can still pop the battery or plug in USB-C without taking the cage off. The aluminium alloy frame feels properly robust with clean machining and no sharp edges, and it gives me far more confidence slinging the camera into a bag or using it in rougher conditions. The extra mounting options are where it really shines – dual cold shoe mounts on top for a mic and small light, plus multiple 1/4" threads and a bottom quick-release/magnetic style interface mean I can move between tripod, selfie stick and clamps very quickly. In use it doesn’t intrude into the 360 image, and the included silicone lens cover is genuinely handy since my original covers don’t fit over the cage. There is a bit of extra weight and bulk, and it won’t fit every tight hard case, but for me the added protection and flexibility are absolutely worth it. Overall it feels like a well-designed bit of “armour” that makes the Osmo 360 more versatile, safer to handle and much easier to rig up for proper shooting and vlogging.

I've been testing this K&F Concept metal cage with a DJI Osmo 360 as part of a review programme, and overall it's a well-thought-out accessory with a few caveats. The aluminium alloy build feels robust without being excessively heavy, and the fit around the camera is precise. It genuinely adds confidence when shooting in crowded or rough environments. The included silicone lens cover is simple but very useful for quick protection in a bag.The two cold shoe mounts and 1/4" screw holes make it easy to add a mic or small light and move between tripods, grips and selfie sticks. Access to buttons, ports and the charging interface is maintained, and the magnetic quick-release base integrates nicely with DJI's ecosystem. On the downside, it does add bulk, and frequent on/off fitting isn't entirely seamless despite the snap-on design. Price feels a touch high, but reasonable if you value extra protection and mounting flexibility.

The camera cage from K&F CONCEPT for the DJI Osmo 360 makes a very high-quality impression. It fits perfectly, is easy to install and protects the camera reliably. All buttons and ports remain accessible, and the extended power button is particularly practical. The additional holders and threads make it easy to attach accessories such as microphones or lamps. The magnetic connection works perfectly and ensures quick changes. Overall, a well-thought-out, sturdy and recommended accessory for anyone who wants to use their Osmo 360 more professionally.

I could tell straight away that the K&F Concept cage was made for rough treatment rather than show. It is milled from aluminium, not the lightweight plastic that DJI supplies, and it has that reassuring chill when you pick it up on a cold morning. In the box you will find a silicone lens cap, two cold shoes on the top and a pair of quarter-inch tripod threads on the bottom. The magnetic base clicks neatly on to DJI’s quick-release mounts, and every button, port and the battery door stay fully accessible. After a couple of weeks of cycling, scrambling over rocks and the odd drop, the cage has picked up only a few faint marks. I have clipped it against handlebars and scraped it across granite without a scratch appearing on the lens cover. The extra mounting points carry a Rode microphone and a small LED panel at the same time, and they do not twist loose. There are a few quirks. The additional metal adds about seventy grams, so gimbals need their weights adjusted, and the first time you slide the camera in you have to line it up carefully or the latch will not close. The silicone cap can also flutter in a stiff north-easterly, so I wish it clamped a little tighter. At around forty-five quid it is not exactly pocket money, yet it is still far cheaper than replacing a damaged 360-degree lens. With its solid build, easy charging access and sensible mounting options, it now has a permanent place in my kit bag.

As someone who has has several K&F Concept products, my personal experience is it's usually a brand that I can trust.Primarily because of the high build quality their products have and in that respect this cage is no different. Especially how this cage is incredibly well made from a super tough black coated aluminium alloy.Something that certainly does provide a good level of protection for my Osmo 360. Yet at the same time it doesn't restrict with the cameras core feature, taking 360 degree pictures and video. Nor does the cage block off any port doors.I also like how the cage has two cold-shoe mounts, one on top and one on the left hand side, so I can easily mount lights or a microphone. Plus there's a magnet at the base, which both holds the Osmo in place super securely, but also works with any compatible external magnetic mount. A base that's also got a 1/4in bush with securing pins, so I can use this cage with any tripod or selfie stick that uses 1/4in bolts. But it does have a couple of annoying issues, such as once installed it makes opening the port doors rather awkward. It also adds a fair bit of weight to a camera that's held like a phone not a DSLR and that's a noticeable weight especially on a selfie stick. Enough extra weight, that if you forget about it, can cause the camera to tip and drop forward when on a selfie stick.Fortunately when that happens the cage does go a good job at protecting the edges of my expensive toy. However, as is standard with all Osmo cages, this cage doesn't protect the twin bulbous lenses during filming. But you do get some basic lens protection for when the camera isn't be used, such as when transporting it.Though it's not the same type of rubber cap that comes with the Osmo and other cages. The one with this cage doesn't cover the whole top, instead it's a rubber strap with two half domes that cover the two lenses. It will even cover lens which have lens transparent lens protectors. But while it's mildly stretchy, it does require some force to fit it, so you do need to be careful not to break the strap.Though you will need to source your own lens protectors, that's because as is standard for most cages, this doesn't include any lens protectors. Something that's highly recommended because the Osmo 360 lenses are not user replaceable. Instead, if they are damaged, the camera will need to be returned to DJI for factory replacement, which can be an expensive process. Also, when do you get some lens protectors you'll do need to check they'll fit through the small gap at the top of this cage. While all the third party lens protectors I have worked fine, if you get a thicker set then this cage won't lock correctly. And on the subject of the cage lock, this one is also very different from other cages.Instead of using a separate small threaded bolt, this ones uses a slide and press button to lock the cage. The big positives of this button approach is there's no chance of losing that tiny bolt (around 3mm in size), something that's really easy to do especially if wearing gloves or have cold hands.Though the downside is that button is way to easy to accidentally press, which will cause the cage to pop open. Fortunately the strong magnetic base does stop the camera from falling out, but it's unsettling when that happens, especially if you have a LED light attached to the top of the cage. But the biggest annoyance is this cage has a bronzy orange power button on the righthand size. So when I fit the camera into the cage that button tends to accidentally turn the camera on. Yet when I want to turn the camera on or off, the cage button isn't that responsive.Overall ? This case has some issues, especially how some features make using the camera tricky. But if you don't mind working around those it's certainly tough and will protect your Osmo.

The K&F CONCEPT camera cage for DJI Osmo 360 arrived quickly and well packaged. I find it positive that larger silicone covers are included directly, as the originals would no longer fit through the cage — this was taken into account. Installing the cage is self-explanatory and works without any problems. The camera is easy to insert and sits absolutely securely after closing, nothing wobbles, and the shutter locks reliably.
It is practical that both the battery compartment and the lid for the USB-C port remain accessible. The power button is extended by the cage over a red button and is therefore even easier to operate. In addition, you get cold shoes at the top and on the left side for mounting accessories such as microphones or lamps.
The workmanship makes a robust impression, and I assume that the cage can also withstand a hard fall or two. I see a small disadvantage with the lower 1/4” thread: it is no longer as easily accessible due to the cage, so that my stand holds but is not quite as stable as it is directly without a cage. Magnetic stands with a DJI mechanism, on the other hand, work without any problems.
You should also note that the cage has an additional weight of just under 48g. Anyone who can live with it will get a well-thought-out and robust solution here — I have a clear recommendation!

My first outing with the K&F Concept metal cage made me feel as though the Osmo 360 had finally been kitted out with real armour. The aluminium alloy hugs the camera snugly, yet the whole set-up still slips into a jacket pocket and does not tug at my shoulder during a hill walk. Two cold-shoe mounts sit on top, letting me park a tiny light on one side and the DJI Mic receiver on the other. A pair of 1/4-inch threads underneath, plus another on the flank, take care of tripods as well as the walking pole I have bodged into a selfie stick. The silicone lens cap fits tight, saving the glass whenever my collie swipes the garden table with her tail. Charging through the open USB-C cut-out works nicely, so the time-lapse can run uninterrupted. The rock-solid build inspires confidence and the plentiful mounting options make weekend vlogging far smoother. For anyone who drags a 360 camera through rough Scottish weather, the extra protection and flexibility more than offset the minor annoyances and slight weight gain. Well worth the money.

The cage for the DJI Osmo 360 comes in a cardboard box and is designed in the typical K&F colors.
The workmanship is high-quality aluminum alloy and fits the DJI Osmo 360 perfectly. The DJI Osmo 360 is
fixed with an installation bolt that cannot open by itself.
Of course, you can also access all Osmo openings and controls when assembled.
The charging contacts themselves have been looped through at the bottom and it is also possible to use the DJI magnetic quick-release fastener. This is very good for quick and easy installation or, if available, for the external power supply.
However, 2 1/4" screw attachments allow installation in a horizontal or vertical position or the attachment of additional equipment even without the DJI magnetic quick-release fastener.
There are also 2 cold shoes available.
When installing additional equipment, you have to consider what to install where when shooting 360 degrees so that it is not visible in the movie/photo.
Since the two lenses of all 360-degree cameras are highlighted and therefore particularly in need of protection, a silicone lens cover is included - this is very good because the lens protector included with the DJI Osmo 360 cannot be used on a cage due to the design.
K&F has therefore thought carefully about this as well and deserves a recommendation!

A very high quality cage for the DJI Osmo 360. It fits perfectly and I keep it on the camera all the time. All the buttons work very easily and well and the access doors are all easy to access. I have the plastic lens protectors fitted to the camera and these can stay on as the cage allows for this. One thing I found was that the conventional / regular lens covers I have wont fit over the cage so I use the supplied rubber elastic cover supplied by K & F Concept with the cage. It is easy to fit / take off and I have no problem using this instead. Secondly the camera and cage wont fit in the purpose built case I have for the camera, the cage is just too big, however I have seen others saying the cage fits in their case so I guess it just depends on which brand of case you have. For me this is no problem as I just use a small neoprene camera case instead which works fine. The cage has a 1/4" thread on the bottom so a selfie stick or tripod can be easily fitted. I cannot comment on the connection for the DJI mount on the bottom as I don't possess one of these. In summary the cage is extremely well made and gives very high levels of protection to the camera without affecting the operation at all. It is a comparable price to other cages so offers good value for money. I can highly recommend this cage and accessories.
