Vintage Soft 82mm 1/4 Filter 28Multi-Coatings Cinematic Effect Camera Lens Filter for Portrait Photography/Video/Vlog Photography
SKU: KF01.3122
This filter from K&F CONCEPT is called "Vintage Soft" and has a subtle but important difference from other distilling filter options such as Black Diffusion for example. I really like the look it provides, particularly on my Fujifilm 16mm f/1.4 which is what I ordered this filter for.
The filter features an impressive 28 layer nano-coating and is very premium as far as I am concerned, equal in quality to any of the more expensive options out there like Tiffen or or NiSi, etc. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this option, and you don't pay a premium for it.
The soft focus effect this creates really gives my portraits an interesting appearance that my clients have raved about, and being that it is part of K&F's "Nano X" series, it is also surprisingly thin and lightweight, but evidently very finely crafted and durable. Very happy with it. 5 stars.

The filter has good properties overall, as the coating causes liquids to bead up, reduces fingerprints, and is easy to clean. The high-quality coating also largely prevents distracting reflections.
Regarding the "Vintage Soft" effect itself: I think it's particularly suitable for filmmakers, as it can soften the oversharpened, digital look. I wouldn't use it for photography. Editing software offers more/better options for retouching or adjusting the look afterward.

The K&F Concept Vintage Soft 1/4 filter adds just the right touch of soft focus to your images – perfect for portraits or creative video recordings. The nano-coating noticeably reduces reflections and ensures clear colors despite the soft effect. The glass has a high-quality feel, and the filter is easy to mount. A top value pick for anyone wanting to add an analog touch to their photography.

The filter impresses with its excellent workmanship and quality. It screws onto the lens easily and stays securely in place – no wobbling, no slipping. The fantastic vintage look it creates is particularly noteworthy. For anyone wanting to give their photography a unique touch, this filter is definitely a worthwhile purchase.
