Very sturdy and custom-fit “cage” (cage) made of robust aluminum. Ideal when you are directly at the camera (ONLY suitable for the INSTA360 X5!!!) needs a “cold shoe”, e.g. for a microphone or a lamp.

The cage is very well designed with a focus on saving weight while maintaining a rigid structure and facilitating access to the Insta360 without needing to remove it from the cage. It's the little details in particular that I appreciate about it, there is foam padding in the cage that cover the microphones to reduce wind noise. In addition to the 1/4" screw mount at the base of the age is the folding mount adapter (similar to more recent GoPro cameras) you can attach to your appropriate mount and screw securely.As shown in the marketing info, the two cold shoe mounts allow for you to add appropriate accessories (a fill light or two or a fill light and an external microphone) to improve your videos and the gaps in the cage allow for easy access to replacing the battery or plugging in a charger along with using the device's controls. The rubber lens cover is a brilliant addition to protect both lenses from scratches during transit.With light falls, the safety screw will keep your Insta360 largely protected from falls (lenses may be scratched or cracked) as the screw keeps the latch secured to prevent the Insta360 coming out of the cage.K&F did a brilliant job with this cage with lots of scenarios being thought of being demonstrated by its versatility.
