Set this up to mount a light on a table rig, and it’s done exactly what I needed. Adjusting angles is easy, and it hasn’t slipped once during filming. The clamp feels solid when tightened, and the rubber padding stops it from marking surfaces. It’s held steady even when bumped accidentally, which is more than I expected. Works just fine with a small monitor too. No creaking, no unwanted movement. Tightening the arm takes seconds, and everything stays in place until I move it again. Been swapping it between two setups regularly and it hasn’t worn down or loosened. Nothing over-engineered here, just a sturdy bit of gear that behaves exactly how it should.

The arm clamp or rather the overall item is well machined that offers a choice of 1/4" and 3/8" thread options with the jaws having internal rubber pads for protection so shouldn't mark anything its clamped to. The arm has 1/4" standard screws on either ends that swivel as required, with a quoted maximum pay load rating of 2kgs. The arm is quite compact when folded and so means it’s quite a handy size for putting in either a camera bag or a pocket in your jacket. You adjust the arm to the required angle and then twist the central ‘wing’ type screw up and that’s it - once tightened up, it is so strong plus being quite rigid. I am using it presently to hold a field monitor, clamped to a tripod leg, for camcorder use and it does not budge once tightened up. I have a small tripod made by the same maker and that is also of the same high standard in design and engineering.

This product comes in a cardboard box; once opened, you'll see the clamp and magic arm. As of reviewing this product, it is priced at £32.99 - I definitely believe that this is value.The product is very high quality, great for so many different situations. I particularly find this useful to attach my video monitor to my tripod while taking videos/photos. The 11in size makes it possible to have the monitor in a very nice position when taking photos.I also found this product quite useful for attaching my Osmo Action 5 pro to my camera to record myself taking photos - I find this quite a nice creative outlet, and this magic arm makes it so easy. It also has a 1/4 and 3/8 screw holes.The product is made out of a high quality metal and the grip is great. I'd definitely recommend picking this up.

This articulating arm is tiny AF. I should have checked the dimensions. That's my bad I guess. Not a great option if you're mounting a DSLR camera.

This thing is AWESOME. 3 points of articulation that all get locked SOLID by turning only one hand screw. Really high quality product with endless uses. The claw grip covers a large range of sizes and locks tight.
