Basic adapter converts Sony Alpha or Minolta AF mount to micro 4/3. No electrical contacts. There is an aperture control with click stops but no legends. Manualf focus only. The body sound mount and lens side mount both appear to fit securely and it seems well enough made. Good value.

I had a rubbish Minolta film camera, that was to be dumped so I did research on the lens, identified the mount and sent off for an adapter, I wouldn't have worried if the idea was a flop, but , to my great pleasure the lens fitted the mount and the mount was a perfect fit on my Olympus, the mount seems to be top quality and has enabled me to have fun at little cost.So glad I chose the mount.

Really solid connection to body and lens. Aperture ring is smooth to turn and it should work well if you decide to take it apart and de-click the aperture control.

Works well with my G80 and G7 I can use all my Sony lens with manual focus only but very handy for the wide and the tele as Panasonic ones are mega bucks its a simple unit nothing can go wrong with it unless you drop it of a cliff.Sony lens on a Micro 4/3's

Good quality, solid metal construction, smooth turning of aperture ring from OPEN position (widest aperture) to LOCK (smallest aperture). The only reason for not giving the fifth star in my rating is because the aperature ring does not close my lens completely to its smallest aperture f22 - the highest aperture setting appears to be about f16, therefore my f1.7 to f22 lens cannot be set at f22. The aperture control ring has a total of 5 stops: OPEN (largest aperture setting), LOCK (smallest aperture setting), and 3 click stops in between. Of course you can choose any setting between the click stops as well. There is a less expensive version of this type of adaptor that has stops marked from 0 to 7 (8 stops) which handles my f1.7 to f22 perfectly from largest aperture f1.7 to smallest f22. This lower priced product does the job nicely but the thing that I do not like about it is that the aperture control ring is not smooth at all (probably no ball bearing). The smooth aperture ring product of this review does work for all stops on my 28-80mm Maxxum zoom lens.

Brilliant product. These adapters will save you a fortune if you have older 35mm kit lying around. I was able to use my old Sigma macro, plus a couple of old Minolta lenses. You lose auto focus abilities, but most micro 4/3 cameras have good focus assist settings. The viewfinder zoom does not appear to function on my EM10 mk ii with this adapter, but the peaking assist works brilliantly. With macro shots I would say it's actually preferable to full AF due to the narrow depth of field.I'm no pro photographer. I just dabble really (it compliments my other hobbies rather than being a hobby in itself for me). I'm sure there are downsides for those who are optically obsessive. That said, I think this would be a welcome addition to most people's kit bag, and I reckon it's saved me about £1500 or more in replacing my more occasionally used lenses.
