Well-built and well-designed, this mount can handle anything from a phone to a (modest-sized) tablet (caps out at 9.7", which unfortunately rules out most iPads). It extends in two ways: the metal rods are spring-loaded and stretch/compress with pretty strong grip; there's also a pair of plastic columns that deploy with a pair of button releases (see picture) that add another few inches of width, if needed. The surface is mostly a nice, smooth, grippy, rubberized coating. There are 1/4" screw mounts on one side and on the back, and a cold-shoe mount on the other side. Very nice quality device from reliable K&F Concept.

This is a very versatile cell phone and tablet holder for a tripod. Without using the extension, it will hold any typical cell phone . There are two buttons on the side that will open out wide enough to hold up to an an iPad or most tablets. There are 2 1/4" threaded holes, one on the back and the other one on the side with a notch cut out for cables. The other side has a cold shoe you can mount lights or other accessories. This holder seems sturdy and stable and I didn't notice any wobble when using it.

Pretty cool how it has the 2 springs for a phone but then is expandable yet still uses the springs. The simple things right? And it has a vertical and horizontal tripod mount. It’s great!

This is a very versatile cell phone and tablet holder for a tripod. In it’s normal configuration It will hold any typical cell phone for mounting on a tripod for videography or photography. But, with the push of one, or two, buttons on the side, it ratchets out wide enough to hold up to an 11 inch tablet when you want to use that instead of, or in addition to, your cell phone.
Even when it’s expanded for a tablet, it’s still very sturdy and stable, no wobble. Resizing it is quick and very easy. There are two standard 0.25 inch mounting screw holes on the bottom and the side to facilitate either landscape or portrait orientation.
It also has a dry-shoe mount for holding accessories like lights or mics.
This is a very rugged little holder. You’ll fell the tightness of the springs and sliders and general construction. The touch of orange on black helps the aesthetics also.
Definitely a good buy.

Made of acceptable quality plastic, it has a curious mechanism that allows you to change the size of the adapter at will with the push of a small button. With that base... you can stretch the springs to hold a cell phone or tablet that you can use as an occasional monitor for a camera or any other function you can think of.
What I liked the most is that it is quite well thought out, placing a pair of 1/4 inch threads on the base and on the back... so that you can use it as it suits you best... it also adds a shoe hole to put any type of compatible accessory. Very good everything, really... happy with the purchase!

I have tried several tablet holders with tripod screws and this one is undoubtedly one of the best. It is made of thick, good quality plastic and has rubber coating in the areas where the tablet rests.
The length of both sides can be adjusted independently using two buttons located on each side of the adapter. In addition, the stops use a tension system with rubber bands to make them stronger and the tablet does not fall.
It has a support for attaching a tripod both to the back and to one of the edges, so that it can be used both vertically and horizontally.
I recommend it.
