Works great as a microscope but I bought it to use with my laptop and phone and cannot figure out how to connect it. There was no instructional manual with it. Can someone help me out with this? I have tried for 2 weeks to get this to work!

Having never used a microscope before I'm very impressed with this unit. The only complaint I have is that the field of view when using the camera is pretty small.

My brother is a pharmacist and at least once a month he comes over and we'll mess around with a microscope. I can't say I'm much of an expert with them but he knows all about it. He's got his PhD and is thinking about transitioning into teaching at the college level and I've been his 'test case'. He's really impressed with this microscope. It connects to a camera which allows you to magnify it and put it on a bigger screen. I like the eyepieces which are much more comfortable to use than the previous one I had. Highly recommended!

This is definitely not some cheap kid's microscope. This thing is built like a tank and feels and looks like something you would find in a laboratory. I mean the first thing I did was pull the microscope out of the case and when I held it in my hands it felt really heavy. You could just tell the construction of the frame and the base plate was serious quality.
I'm not a lab person so I don't know a whole lot about microscopes, but I do know about lenses and I can tell you the lens glass quality that came with this microscope is very very good. Clarity of the images on the slides was amazing.
The other thing is, I'm always big on companies that include a nice carrying case for their product. And this company did a fantastic job with the case they included. All the parts fit in the foam nicely and it protects the microscope very well with plenty of padding when traveling.
I would say if you're wanting to get more serious about a good quality microscope and skip the cheap stuff out there that the kids play with, this is a great place to start. Everything in this microscope kit was very good quality. I felt like I was in a laboratory

If you are wanting a scope to do high quality analysis and study then I think this one would be a good choice for the money. It is a quality built scope with all the features that allow for detailed and flexible observations. My biggest complaint is the weak instructions that come with it. Set up and configuration can be a bit confusing if you are new to using these and the instructions do not provide the needed guidance. Not so mush an issue if you are familiar with these type of microscopes. Overall I am very happy with this for my purposes.

I got this for my science teacher sister. So often schools do not have a high powered microscope for students. The microscope comes in a very nice soft padded case. The microscope comes in two main pieces that you have to put together. The instructions on how to put together were not found. Luckily, it is relatively simple. It comes with different objective lenses for the ocular pieces. The stage does have movement back and forth and side to side. The microscope does come with a USB camera. All in all my sister was impressed with the microscope. Her only disappointment was that's there were not better directions that came with the microscope. This is a great microscope for adults, or teens. Definitely not one for little kids.

Very advance microscope. Good quality material. May take some time to figure it out but once you do you see why it’s expensive! Quality is amazing and the 7” screen just makes it the best I’ve owned.

This is a great mid-tier microscope for high school and college students. It has all the bells and whistles at a decent price.

This thing is FANTASTIC, and comes with all the bells and whistles straight out of the well packaged zip compartment case (including sample slides). Includes a phone holder, which with a little adjustment allows you take pictures of your "discoveries" to keep or send. Could be a GREAT addition to a young person's science project presentation, but is itself a work of art. This really is a full set and could open up a world of possibilities of a curious mind. Very well made, but not too heavy, especially since the case has a sturdy carrying handle. Picture is clear and zoom function is reliable. Great fun for kids, of any age...
