First of all, the tripod is VERY tall. When fully extended, it is approximately 7 feet tall. In other words, the camera may even be higher than my face.

The carbon construction is very lightweight, and has the benefit that if you're shooting in cold, humid conditions, like a winter forest, the tripod won't be unbearably cold.

Despite its lightness, the tripod is quite stable for a small or medium-sized mirrorless or film camera. I'm not sure about full-size SLRs like the 5d or D850 with a large telephoto lens like 100-400mm, but anything lighter in weight can be used without problems.

I also really liked the design of the aluminum connections. They feel much more reliable than plastic ones.

The tripod is also very compact when folded, I can easily put it in a medium backpack or attach it to the side.

What I didn't really like was the connection of the telescopic legs. The connections look very secure, but I prefer to use wings or latches as they are faster to work with. However, this is a price to pay for the compactness of the tripod.

I am very pleased with this tripod and recommend it if you need a lightweight and reliable tripod for small to medium sized cameras without overly large telephoto lenses.

The carbon fiber in this tripod does an amazing job at keeping the whole thing very light and portable. The rest of the hardware (locking cams to extend the legs, adjustable center post) are also high quality, durable, and rugged.

The included ball head is just ok though - it's fine, but not excellent. I likely will swap it out for one of my higher-quality heads, but for testing this tripod the included ball head is fine. It does fit common lock plates, and I had no trouble fitting my mirrorless camera with an existing lock plate onto the ball head. The ball head itself has what feels like a plastic handle, and a plastic ball. Also, the top plate was not securely attached when the tripod arrived, and even though it came with an allen wrench to tighten things, I *really* had to crank down on the center bolt in the ball head top plate to get it secured. The whole design of the ball head is... mediocre.

The center post also has a sturdy hook where you can hang a sand bag or your camera bag to add some extra stability for a shoot. The ability to convert 1 leg into a monopod is a great feature, and is one that I've used extensively on some of my other tripods, so I was very glad to see that included.

This tripod is an excellent choice when traveling, or whenever you need to save weight but still need a good tripod for your camera.

The title really says it all but let me break down the best features.

1. Carbon fiber makes this tripod strong and VERY light weight. I was really surprised how light it was while still able to support both my Nikon Z7II or Z9 with a heavy duty L-bracket. Some travel tripods dump the weight by using thin legs or plastic hardware. This doesn't do either of those things!

2. As mentioned, almost all the non-carbon fiber parts are metal or heavy duty rubber. No cheap plastics or other compromises that limit performance.

3. One leg screws off so you can use it as a monopod eliminating the need to carry both when you're packing light.

4. It comes with a good ball head. Yes, we all probably have a few of these laying around but in case you don't, this setup comes with a really nice one.

5. Comes with a case to keep it protected.

OK nothing is perfect and there are a few things I'd like to see improved on but they're all rather minor.

1. I'd like both the tripod and the monopod to extend higher. I'm a taller human, I like my gear to extend to at least 6'6" and this is close but not quite there. If that doesn't matter to you, no big deal.

2. I'd like a little more rigidity when the tripod is fully extended. This might not be a problem for many people, especially those with lighter gear. Both of my cameras as larger and heavier than most and I have them outfitted with larger pro L-brackets. All this makes them heavy but well within the stated limits.

Overall at this price point you're going to be REALLY challenged to find a better tripod for travel use than this one. I'm really happy with it and I'll be using it as my primary travel tripod for the foreseeable future.

I like this tripod aot, I got mine for the incredible price of £103, "Used Like New", it is very solid, the leg "twists" are so smooth and it only takes half a twist to tighten or release the leg section. I prefer a three way geared bead to a ballhead, but, the ballhead is very sturdy, the large levers and knob are very useful in cold weather. This tripod easily matches tripods by other brands at far higher price points.
Excellent. Excellent. Excellent. Excellent. Excellent.

Fantastically stable, great twist locks on legs, love the tripod. Only one slight point I will make is the ball head does seem to come loose when rotating the 360 degree axis, I have sort of stopped this by making a thin rubber disc washer for the two parts to clamp on when tightened up. Would be nice if K&F supplied say a silicone washer for this purpose. But all in all it truly is a great stable piece of kit!
UPDATE: Had an issues with the ball head coming loose after rotating the ball head. Contacted K&F Concepts directly, I have to say what fantastic Customer Services, very responsive, very helpful. They sent me another tripod! Fantastic supplier of quality products and can highly recommend them!!

I like using tripods when I'm taking photos at events. This tripod suits my needs very well. It comes with a carry case with short handles or a longer one that I can sling over my shoulder.

The tripod height can be adjusted to your needs. The legs have a twist lock at are easy to extend and lock. The feet have a padded rubber that helps prevent the tripod from slipping. One of the legs can be removed to create an adjustable monopod.

The top has a level. The metal ball head moves smoothly.

The angle of the legs can easily be adjusted. I like that I can easily go from a wide base to a smaller base with easy.

Overall this is a great tripod. It is lightweight and easy to set up and tear down.
