After having had good experiences with the Yonguo 50 mm, I also tried the 35 mm for my "second system" with the Canon M10. It's always a surprise how good these "cheap" lenses are. With an open aperture, the 35 has sufficient sharpness in the middle, which does not diminish at the edges either. The bokeh is nice and even. A little stopped down (F 2.5) it gets even sharper. The small minimum distance of 25 cm is pleasant. Of course you have to make compromises. The autofocus is loud and not as fast as a lens that is 5 to 10 times more expensive. On the other hand, it is quite reliable (not a problem on the M10) even in low light. The processing is good. It's plastic, but feels sturdy. And it's easy. In any case, it can remain as a fast normal focal length on APS-C.

To say it straight away, even with this third-party lens, AF fine-tuning was necessary on my 6D MkII. This isn't specifically a Yongnuo problem, though. Since Sigma, Tamron and co. also their problems. To do this, I focus manually with a 10x magnifying glass in LiveView, then switch LiveView off and see in which area of the AF fine tuning the focus point in the viewfinder shines. Here it was the range from +2 to +18! So a massive front focus that required a correction of +10. The tube is a bit wobbly, but at least the lens has a metal bayonet and a rubberized focus ring. Manual focusing is really not to be described as "smooth"! The sharpness in the center of the image (even with an open aperture) is impressive! The AF works very accurately, is absolutely fast enough for my purposes and the sound is not unpleasant at all. In addition, it is a small lightweight that always finds a place in the backpack, bag or wherever. TOP and 5 stars!
Top!! - but AF correction necessary! Top!! - but AF correction necessary! Top!! - but AF correction necessary!

Great quality for its price! Used this lens on a Canon EOS RP with the official HF to EF adapter (no control ring) and it works flawlessly. The autofocus is finicky at times (rarely), but once you've locked in on your subject, it tracks it perfectly. For the price I paid I can say it's worth it! I wasn't willing to shell out more money for a Canon 35mm F2/F1.4 or the Sigma/Tamron variant, so I went with it in hopes of getting a good sample. Others mentioned they got bad glass, probably random luck.
The autofocus is finicky at times, but I'm amazed at the image quality! The autofocus is finicky at times, but I'm amazed at the image quality! The autofocus is finicky at times, but I'm amazed at the image quality!

The Yongnuo 35mm lens is a super prime lens. As a bonus to the 50mm from the same manufacturer, you get a little more on the picture with 35mm. I took the photo of the Federal Administrative Court in Leipzig with this lens for leipzig-days.de and am very impressed with the image quality.
Great fixed focal length for little money

Inexpensive optics with a long focal length at a very reasonable price. As with any brand, the lens does its job, maybe a bit of plastic on the outside, but on the other hand it also makes it very light. The couplings, on the other hand, are made of a metal alloy very similar to those used in Canon and Tamron lenses. They are therefore safe and work well and do not cause problems with the recessed sliding system. I find it to be a good optic for shooting, even in low light, which, certainly not being particularly professional, still offers good performance, more than tolerable in definition and with very little noise, even in really extreme conditions , under which I immediately tested them. On the other hand there is nothing to say about the inclusion, I repeat it is a really inexpensive product so do not expect extreme tops but certainly do not expect extreme disappointments either. In short, a good product in terms of value for money.

Good lens with high cost. It's the second time I've bought it because my other lens fell off and lost autofocus. It does its job with good brightness. Maybe a bit slow, not very loud. Also, this time I found a small speaker that was useful for working outside the studio. I immediately mounted it to a lamp in the living room to test it. I think it will be very useful.

The lens is ok for the price you pay. I picked it because it's equivalent to a 50mm lens at APSC and I needed a lens that lets in a lot of light to increase depth of field in videos and photos. Image quality is decent, at £100 you clearly can't expect the sharpness of a more expensive lens, but I haven't seen any major issues. The autofocus works discreetly, it's a bit noisy (but nothing special) and for some reason it seems necessary to turn the camera off and on again when switching from manual to automatic, otherwise it just doesn't seem to find the fire anymore. In any case, forget to use it as a lens for autofocus videos for two reasons: 1) if you buy this lens, you most likely have a mid-to-budget device with problems of its own 2) the lens sometimes struggles with focus to find. However, in any case, for videos it is always better to use manual focus. I had no problems using it! If you intend to use it mainly with manual focus and are looking for a lens that gives you a nice bokeh effect and good subject/background separation, you can't go wrong with this lens (at this price)!
Great lens to get good bokeh and reduce depth of field at an affordable price! Great lens to get good bokeh and reduce depth of field at an affordable price! Great lens to get good bokeh and reduce depth of field at an affordable price!

It's still in testing, it looks good, it looks good, it looks good, I haven't been able to compare it to any other lens so far, but it's ok, taken pictures with it

Well, I'm new to photography, my camera is a used Canon EOS 450D and I was recommended at various workshops as a beginner to use a lens with a fixed focal length. So I first ordered the 50mm lens and was so excited that I also ordered the 35mm lens right away. In my opinion, both take really great pictures, so I give a clear recommendation to buy both lenses.
Top both 35mm and the 50mm lens.

I was more than surprised. I read the reviews here and tested the lens right away. For the price I can't complain at all. - Fits well on the camera, no play - AF is really okay
