62mm Black Mist 1 Filter Mist Cinematic Effect Filter Black Diffusion 1 Filter with 18 Multi-Layer Coatings Nano-Klear Series
SKU: KF01.2175V1
Was looking for a filter for my Camera to soften the light just a hair. This worked wonders. Threaded onto all of my adapters for use on different lenses and holds up well to dirt and grime. I personally put some ceramic coating on the glass to help with water repellant as I like to shoot in the rain. Would buy from this company again.

Hands-down, one of my favorite filters it gives just enough of the black diffusion to make it dream and moody definitely coming back for the 82 mm

This is not the first K&F Concept filter I have owned, and I hope that it will not be the last. So many other inexpensive brands cheap out parts they use on filters, but their filters feel premium. I don't expect them to be as good as filters that are 2 to 3 times the price of these, but I don't think the quality is that far off though. I have no way of testing the quality of the glass, but their filters seem to be very good quality. I have had other filters in this price range that look and feel very cheap compared to this. The black diffusion filter is probably not one of the filters I will use a lot, but it is nice to have on the odd occasion where I need it.

I've become a big fan of the K&F black mist filters in the recent past, adding this one to the 1/8 and 1/4 that I already own. Like the others, this is a nice quality filter. No color cast or distortion noticed at 200% inspection on a full frame image (beyond what's intentional on this kind of filter). I really like the heavy texture on the outside of a ring as it removes the need for a filter wrench if the filter gets stuck.
On the subject of strength, no one should start with a strength 1- start with 1/4. The effect of the full strength is more of a special effect; I usually have the 1/8 on my lenses just as a walkaround. The 1 is way too strong for that, unless I was shooting exclusively old Hollywood type glamour type photos and wanted that super soft look to everything. The 1/4 will give the halation on light sources while maintaining sharp in-focus lines. The 1, not so much. You can also tell that the filter reduces the amount of light transmitted. Not by a lot, and I haven't tested the exact amount, but sitting on a piece of paper, the filter is distinctly gray (like an ND2 or ND4 for example).

I'm so excited for this filter. It is the perfect hint of mist without being too strong. Just what I was looking for.

Black Diffusion 1/4 52mm filter used on a Vitrox AF 33mm F1.4 AF Fuji X lens for a Fujifilm X-T2. Very satisfied with the result, a real cinematic effect, as you can see in the photos (unretouched). Please choose the light sources carefully for best results

I'm a novice and have recently found how handy some of these filters are I. Have some other mist filters but I don't like the results stacking filters of the same type. The results sometimes don't seem as good as using a stronger filter. Filters of different types together work fine for me but stacking the same doesn't. I like the softness of the #1 it makes bad completions look great.
