K&F Concept 3-Way Geared Tripod Head CNC Process Aluminum Alloy, High-Precision Fluid Head Load Capacity up to 13.2lbs/6kg,for Photography Equipments
SKU: KF31.047
Most outstanding 3-axis geared head. Fully aluminum, including the knobs.
There is zero play, you cannot budge your camera's position with force. Motion is dampened, so you won't fly past the target. Even when disengaging a gear for a huge axis swing, the camera will not move without applying pressure. Very fine control and huge axis articulation.
The weight capacity is awesome, it permits me to mount my camera with a heavy teleconverter to a rod rig to support the lens, with a huge ARRI dovetail. No worries about excess wear on the gears.
To obtain more than 5° of positive tilt, you will need to mount it to a ball head if using a video head or an extra wide camera head on your tripod. Of course, you can tilt the head, but for astrophotography you'll want to set the head to level so you can use the elevation markers to hone in on targets.

very beautiful achievement with a robust appearance.
It deserves five stars, especially with the Amazon Prime Day price.
However, I have a few small criticisms to make:
I would have liked the head to be lighter (810g is heavy).
I would have liked the handling of the orange clutch release rings to be less difficult, because it takes a lot of effort to overcome the return spring and rotate at the same time.
If the base of the tripod is larger than the base of the head (diameter 52 mm), it is impossible to put the camera in the portrait position to have the bubble level above, but it is useless with an L-bracket.
Other remarks:
the rotations are done without play.
The settings are precise. A rotation of 1° corresponds to a rotation of about 270° of the micrometric button.

The product feels quality, like practically all the things I have from this brand. Both products and after-sales service offer confidence.
Although it's expensive, but it's worth it if you can access it.
I bought it to do beginner astrophotography, before going for an eq frame with tracking, because it's an extra that you then have for landscape, macro, products, architecture...
I bought 2, one as a gift, and even though the customer service is 10, I ended up changing one because one of the quick-action knobs was too hard.

I use the head for landscape and macro photography. With this head you can fine tune vertical, pan horizontal shots and adjust the camera to a level position. I use a Sony A7 IV camera and use two Sony lenses that are heavy, 90mm Macro and the 70-200mm Macro (with the Sony 1.4 extender sometimes). Once you get your framing done and lock the head down there is movement of the camera like shifting downwards and then having to reframe the shot to allow head room for the camera dropping down. Using the Vanguard VEO + 72-inch camera tripod make for an awesome pairing. I recommend the head

Excellent tripod head for taking precise shots at any angle and being in perfect control of all directionality. The bubble levels help get everything back to center efficiently and the customizability of the angles you can shoot at on this are amazing. The 3 way head is extremely sturdy, but it is larger than a standard head which isn't a problem. The versatility and solidity of the 3 way head makes it a great value to how functional it is.

Absolute game-changer for real estate and landscape photographers!!! The build quality is top-notch, the ability to fine tune your shot angle is a breeze and the price is very reasonable for the benefits you get with this 3-way geared head. I recommend this to both beginner and advanced photographers in real estate and landscape photography.

This is one of the nicest non-fluid tripod heads I've used before. It's completely metal and built really solidly, and its really strong and holds the weight of my S5 with a 300mm lens with no problems. Paired with a nice pair of tripod legs this is super stable. The geared angle adjustments are really nice and give super fine degree precision, and there's a bubble level built in. The arca swiss plate mount is well built and super convenient.
There are knobs that release the gears so you can quickly adjust the angle manually, but these are super tight on mine and I can't quite turn them far enough to release 2 of the 3 axises. But, the up and down one releases easily and that's probably the only one I would use.
This is great for architecture and astrophotography!
