I bought this to look at silver hallmarks which take very good and very clear pictures with the 4MP image sensor. Also use this for weird clock repairs on my own clocks which are really handy for looking at the movements. I look forward to finding other uses and projects for it as well.

I placed a 1.5 mm object on the base and was able to get close enough to max out the fine adjustment and focus close. The closest I could get to the object was 14.5mm from the large light ring to the base (13mm from the object). The maximum calculated magnification on the supplied screen is 85.56 times magnification. For its use cases, this is more than enough but nowhere near the advertised1200 times magnification. After 100 times magnification you will need a lab microscope. Zooming out, to max with a distance of 85.75mm from base to large light ring, the minimum magnification is 33.33mm. I use this to repair motherboards and video cards which contain components under 2mm. The sceen is quite clear and the adjustable lighting provides ample light. The battery charged to full capacity from my computer usb port in about 2hrs.Summary:Min magnification: 33.33 XMax magnification: 85.46 XMin viwable distance from base; 13mmMax distance from base 85.75mm- micro SD included- Push and hold power button for on/off- the drawback is the small base if you are working on large motherboards. Mounting this to an extendable arm would help for larger boards.Overall this is sturdy and perfect for electronics.

Great purchase, great value! Spent two weeks with the grandkids looking at everything imaginable: flies, bark, coins, etc. I was even able to discover some 19k jewelry that I thought was just costume jewelry until I was able to zoom in on the numbering. Easy to assemble, easy to use and the kids loved it!!! Took it in our RV for deeper explorations with the grandsons.

This is actually awesome. Though I wish they had one battery source for both the lights. The frame seems a bit light, I think if it was a bit heavier it would give the feel of a higher end my digital microscope. I am ok with it though, it's not like I will be throwing this around like a football.

My son and daughter are very into science and I didn’t want the learning to stop just because it’s summer time .So we decided to invest in their own microscope. It’s so much fun finding things to examine and research under a microscope ! This one we chose has strong magnification at 500x digital and 2000x microbial. We really like the huge 7 inch display screen. It’s so easy even my younger nephew who visits could adjust the zoom just by twisting the knob left or right. The bracket is easy to raise and lower with one knob as well. I can charge up this microscope and take it anywhere as it has a 2600 mah battery. It comes with two different lens Andreas 20 differ Led lights to make sure we can see out item clearly. We decided to pay a little more and get the best microscope we could find. The features colors and detail are amazing and we are very satisfied!

Overall good. Lens changing is bit difficult. Lens is too tight.

This microscope produces a fantastic image and the magnification is fantastic. However, there are a few criticisms. Mine came with a black blob on the screen and had to be returned. I'm guessing internal dirt on the lens or sensor. There is no indication of what magnification is used. The sound recording function does not work with firmware problems. For watchmaking it is excellent for oiling and checking, but the minimum magnification is too high for any meaningful work.

This is a Great microscope for the money. Switching for one lens to another is a little tricky lining up. Other than that I have no problems with it at all.
