I expected a little more from this little thing. The photos aren't as good as advertised here, but you can get decent pictures with practice. If you just want to play around with close-ups, you can do it with it, but the price is okay for that. However, if you want good close-up photos, you might want to dig a little deeper into your wallet and get a higher quality device.

But it will definitely be interesting for children to see things up close, the quality is perfectly adequate for that.

This is an amazing little microscope that far exceeded my expectations - especially for its size and portability. I bought this for my kid thinking it would be a fun little tool for him to explore around the house and outside - to see how things are really put together, beyond what we normally see. He loves to! We went on a hike and it was amazing all the little things we found. We now have photos and videos of things like a ladybug's face up close and going about its business. As I said, it was bought for my child, but I also used it quite a bit. I had a small spot on my skin the other day that really hurt and I couldn't figure out why.

This is a great little microscope but the instructions for videos and stills etc are a little too finicky. You can use it with one hand, but not well. Holding a fossil in one hand allows me to manipulate the focus a bit, but taking a picture takes practice. A lot of practice. The buttons are hard pressed and difficult to reach with your fingers, so you move the microscope around when taking a picture and the focus then has to be adjusted... so one hand is fine for viewing only. Everything else needs 2 hands and balance.

Turns out, under the microscope, it was a pretty nasty puncture wound with a tiny foreign shard of something. Also… the email customer service response from Andonstar is fantastic — truly among the best I’ve ever experienced. I can’t recommend this enough. :)

I'm quite impressed with the image quality of the camera. It has a very generous focal range with a fixed magnification. So if you want super zoom in, hold the subject very close. If you need a moderate zoom, stick it out 4 inches. Focus is smooth and holds position well.

No matter how experienced you are or how long you've been growing, you need a magnifying tool to see the growth stage and unfortunately you can also see errors.

So easy to use! Levels of maturity are seen clearly, this thing is cool.

Good microscope with which you can magnify super small things. However, the more you zoom in, the more indistinct everything becomes. For example, you can look at the details of hair, grains of sand and other things of this magnitude. Unfortunately, the magnification is not sufficient to take a closer look at blood, for example. All in all, it is still a device that you can have a lot of fun with.

This microscope is easy to use, compact (doesn't take up much storage space) and is perfect for a child to study and explore. You won't get professional magnification, but it's pretty good for the price. Is ideal as a gift.

It's definitely worth it. My only complaint is that it's not about a case or anything. Well, the microscope itself comes with a small cloth sleeve, but that's it.
