Always wanted to get this product and it didn’t dissapoint. It doesn’t need to be a GoPro any action camera works with this gimbal.

This gimbal is a great investment if your looking for a quality product for a reasonable price. Even with action cameras without image stabilization built into the camera you can see clear improvements in your video quality.

I purchased the SteadyPro 2 for a variety of uses....selfie narrations, volunteer video compilations for an organization I volunteer for, steady pans and a solid hyperlapse platform. The battery unit works well and holds a charge a good long time. I have not yet used it to serve as a power source for my GoPro when attached, but know it is going to be very helpful when in the field, given the always frustrating shortness of their rechargeable batteries.I did find the documentation for the unit fairly slim and relied to some degree on informational videos on YouTube to get up to speed.I also discovered a couple of things:1- Initial charging of the battery was taking forever. I started out attaching it via a USB cable between the unit and a powered USB port on my computer, and after trial and error discovered that it is better to use a USB wall plug to cable connection for charging. Then the charge time is much closer to the roughly 90 minutes or so for an initial charge.2- I was initially having troubles getting the joystick button to do its job of rotating and tilting the camera when pressed but after numerous tries discovered that the problem was mine. I was trying to push the top and bottom edge of the button to activate tilts, and right and left edges for pans. Finally I discovered that you push the entire button up, down, right or left....and not just an edge to make it work.It is also clear that for best stabilization, the secret is to make sure your action camera has image stabilization activated. That, coupled with the additional stabilization provided by the Pro2 produces quite good stability.I am looking forward to getting much more stable hand held footage for my projects and again, am quite happy with the combination of features and price. My only reason for not giving this five stars was rather skimpy documentation in both the packaged instructions and Hohem's online tutorials. I'd suggest adding notes about best methods for charging and making it clearer how the joystick button functions.

I purchased this gimbal for use with my GoPro Hero 7 Black (my first gimbal) and after reading the instructions and becoming thoroughly familiar with all of the controls and modes. It is a tool. You are only as good as how well you know how to use the tool. I love this gimbal. I have taken it out on nature excursions along many bumpy trails and the stabilization is great. It feels good in my hand and comes in a nice semi-hard case with the cables need to interface with your GoPro and connect to an external charger. The battery life is great. I like that it keeps my GoPro charged up for extended periods of time. Plus, it comes with a detachable tripod and has a hot shoe mount screw on the left where you can mount accessories. If there are better gimbals in this class and price, they would have to walk on water. I am comfortable with my iSteady Pro 2.

Great gimbal for the price! Flexible to setup and fine tune the motors to suit your needs.Used with GoPro 6 action camera, great result of stabilisation. Use it always when traveling.Battery enough for a long time, sometimes use it as a powerBank to charge GoPro batterie.

Worked fine for a few months. Fits both my GoPro 4+ (w/o case) and later my GoPro 7. You need to flip the arm to the other side. However, the arm will block the power button but you still can use your phone, remote or the top button. The biggest issue is after a few a months, the gimbal would just power off during use. I tried recharging it, calibrating it but still it would just die while filming. So, it's broke! ...doesn't last. The gimbal would have been worth it for the price if it lasted 2-3 years. So, I might just stick with the balance-type stabilizers... cheaper... durable... no batteries, etc.

Hardly no stabilization. Thing stop working properly after 3 uses. The problem first started when it flipped my GoPro upside down tried to correct that but it keeps wanted to be upside down. Re calibrated multiple times both on the device and thru the app...No Good...I'am going back to Feiyutech, never buying a cheapie gimbal again.*Update*Calmed down. Re upgraded firmware. Then looked at the issue of balance. I am using this with a Gopro Hero 3 i had to shift the mounting a little to the side to PRE balance. after this it worked fine...User Error...sorry for the bad report.
