Speaker no longer works,it is always in black and white, and its a challenged trying to set up camera in away that allows me to see the child in his crib due to the angle of the camera

The screen froze after 3 weeks for use and couldn’t fix the issue. Would not recommend

I LOVE this baby monitor. As we transition my baby into a crib in his own room, I was looking for something reliable to watch him and hear him throughout the night. We originally just had a v-tech monitor (basically a walky-talky) but the transition from not being in the same room with him is HARD and I felt like I needed to see him in order to sleep. This one had the best reviews on Amazon and it is much cheaper than the other name brand monitors so we gave it a chance.Things I love:-Separate screen monitor, don’t have to use a mobile app or buy an iPad to keep open all night-No wifi, this is one of the biggest perks in my opinion. You don’t have to worry about setting it up or if it will be compatible when you go on vacation (some monitors like owlet cannot be used on a shared network)-Security. This goes hand in hand with the wifi. This cannot be hacked through the internet like you see on those scary home videos where some creep talks through the monitor to your kid-Swivel camera, not a necessity but I do like that I can set the camera virtually anywhere in his room and can view him. This will especially come in handy when he stays somewhere else and if we don’t have a shelf to sit it on beside his crib like we do at home. Neat that you can operate it from the monitor screen tooThings I don’t love:-There is minor glitching. Sometimes the audio will suddenly cut out and the screen will freeze for a second. Not really a big deal as long as it doesn’t get worse.-While you can zoom in, I do wish that there was an in between zoom setting. When you zoom once it zooms in too far.

Updated Review: I’ve had this monitor for a month now. In that month, the screen has frozen and glitched many, many, many times. I contacted customer service and they are currently sending me a new monitor, but based on past reviews, it seems it will just happen again. I hope that isn’t the case because I really do like this monitor. I hope the creator or whoever can find the problem and fix it for good. I don’t expect this thing to last more than a couple months, to be honest. It was so great at first (just read my original review below) and now I’m just flat out disappointed. So, I say, keep looking. This isn’t the monitor for you.Original Review: I love this monitor. Like, love love love it. I had the Infant Optics DXR-8 and it wouldn’t hold a charge, the quality wasn’t very good and overall, I wasn’t pleased. So, I thought let’s go for a cheaper option the second time around. And wouldn’t you know it! The cheaper option is 1000 times better than the expensive option. Seriously, if you’re not sure whether to get this or not, I’m here to tell you to DO IT! The video quality is outstanding. The battery lasts all day. It even plays music! I’m not sure if I missed that part when purchasing, but it was a nice surprise. The only bad thing I have to say about it is when I mounted it on the wall (you don’t have to), it gives kind of a weird angle of the room. Or at least an angle I wasn’t expecting or used to. For the angle I wanted, I would’ve had to place a shelf on the wall and then sit the monitor on top of it. But honestly, I have no complaints and I can live with the “weird to me” angle because all of the pros outweigh this one con. As I’m writing this, it reminds me of all the reviews that say “I was paid to write this” or “I got this product for free to write my honest review.” Lol that isn’t the case here! I would’ve loved to get a free baby monitor, don’t get me wrong, but this was worth every penny.

First year it was the best ever, baby dropped it in toilet so we bought the same one. That one came in defective, got a replacement. That one was crap too so we got ANOTHER replacement. Lasted a month and is frozen not working again. Wth.

Overall I like this monitor but it has some glitches that are annoying, every once in a while the sound stops working for a bit and the screen breaks up. Also every time after I unplug it the battery bars keep cycling like it’s charging. I do like the features and the price point of this monitor very much!

Update: the seller contacted me and apologized for the camera being stuck in night mode. Great customer service!Great camera for the price. Also love that it comes with a monitor so it isn’t connected to your WiFi. I don’t like how it stays in night mode for some reason sometimes when it’s clearly daylight in the room or the light is on.

It’s a good monitor but a few things can be improved on it if you were able to adjust contrast it would help the picture at night time that’s all it does this weird thing where it randomly freezes for a few seconds but aside from that it’s a really good monitor
