This is an excellent piece of kit. However, the camera plate screw is just too short! The plate came loose far too easily when adjusting the camera angle hence four stars. Replace the screw with a standard thread length and you have a five star tripod ball head.

Works very well. I like the quick release top which grabs the camera just a hair more before the camera could be safely removed.

I am a budding documentary maker and recently I have been upgrading all my gear to improve the quality of my videos. The last thing I upgraded was my tripod to a K2 COMPACT and I purchased this attachment for it. Wow the difference is like chalk and cheese. These items are made from outstanding quality materials and make a huge difference to your tripod. 1000 percent recommend.

Bought this to use for wildlife photography as my setup is well over 7 pounds. My last tripod couldn't lock my big Sigma 150-600mm contemporary lens and camera in place. As soon as I let go it would tip towards the ground even on the tightest setting.This Gimbal head however, not only holds the weight of my big lens,camera and battery grip with 2 batteries, but it locks it in solid and I can move it fluidly.It even came with a 3/8 to 1/4 adapter so I could mount it to my heavy duty tripod regardless of thread type.I'm very happy with it and in fact I'll be going out this morning to use it.

Perfect for my needs on a heavy duty Tripod. Wouldn't work on my lightweight tri-pod because it is heavy. I had to purchase a heavier Tripod so the balance of traversing side to side or up and down was sturdy during my phot shoots

Well I have 3 ball heads of this kind, including 1 from K&F sold with the carbon tripod (a KF25), I said to myself "it must be the same but bigger, why would I buy the KF35 for more than 50 €?" Well this one is even better! No need to squeeze like crazy for more than it moves, it's super quality for the price! You can disengage the 360° rotation of the ball joint tightening (as on the KF25) but frankly it's serious about the comfort of this ball joint! Loosening does not cause the ball joint to move in all directions all of a sudden, it remains a little maintained, no doubt because of the diameter. I will take it everywhere with me!

To whom it may interest: They do not state this in the specs, but it is Arca-Swiss Standard, so suitable for other plates with 38mm (1.5") of a width.

It works, it's not the precise super glide when you squeeze, it deviates a little, it's classic in low prices. However we adapt, no regrets, it's good.
