i'm an amateur youtuber who needed a better camera for when I travel. the Rebel t5i i was using is too big, too slow to focus for video. This camera is about the lowest price point you can get for a sony camcorder. I was looking for 1080p 60fps recording, and this was the cheapest one.pros:- 1080p, 60fps- stabilized image- frames are very smooth in output video- I dropped this camera from a 6' tripod by accident. the lens casing cracked, however the camera functions as if nothing ever happened. I understand there was luck involved in this, but that kind of construction makes me a sony camcorder customer for life. when i upgrade, it will be another sony camcorder.- very good onboard mic for this pricecons:- no external mic input. the autofocus engine makes a clicking sound that's apparent in the onboard mic. you can turn the microphone down, but the clicking will always be there.- limited manual functions. can get grainy and discolored at low light

Love it. My phone dropped between my seat and the console. When I moved my seat back to pick it up the phone was crushed and I had to stop everything and buy a new one. When I told my friend he said to get a Steelie. I bought my wife one and the kids are getting them for Christmas. Wish I could order a half dozen balls- for the extra cars and boat.

Rock Solid Construction and Connection
The camera is solidly built and the WiFi connection has been steady and hasn't dropped once. I can't say the same about my SimpliSafe doorbell camera. The battery just works. It ran for two days with the solar panel covered in snow after a storm.

Good kids camera
My son loves his camera. It was supposed to be a Christmas surprise, but he saw it. Dropped it before he got to use it (out of the case) and it is completely fine. The only problem I had was getting the proper product from the warehouse.

Best deal on an Action Camera!
My first Akaso camera was an EK7000 purchased in 2017. I've used it a lot and it still works just fine but I dropped it without the case on it and scratched the lens - totally my fault! I've got friends who own the more expensive brand action cameras and I don't see the difference in quality especially for several hundred dollars more. The whole point of an action camera for me is to be able to use it in risky situations where the camera may take a little bit of a beating and may be even lost at sea or in the wilderness. So why would you want to risk a $300-$500 camera? Not to mention, the Akaso's come with so many accessories that the other brands charge a fortune for. As far as the V50 Elite, I do like the touchscreen and the whole user interface seems to be a big improvement compared to the EK7000. Great job Akaso!

It beat my expectations by a mile
This camera was a return to Amazon and they had dropped the price to $43 so I thought at that price why not? It was easy to install the camera that can be viewed with my cell phone via wifi plus it sends notifications when movement is detected. Works perfectly and the battery life seems good so far. I'm really pleased with the camera and I think that I got a GREAT DEAL
