Fantastic adapter with quick aperture stop down option
This is a great adapter that allows me to use a Canon FD 50/1.4 lens with my Sony a7s. Use the mechanism of your Canon FD lens to attach the lens to the adapter and make sure that the aperture/diaphragm control pin lines up appropriately with the mechanism for adjusting it on this adapter (it will feel like it has the correct "click" in when you do that and will easily mount).Once attached and placed on your camera, this adapter along with the Canon FD aperture open/closed feature allow you to focus wide open and then immediately close down to your desired f-stop using the "Lock <==> Open" ring on the adapter. That is a fantastic option to have for a manual focus lens and really assists with precisely positioning the focus point and with focusing in low light if you want to shoot stopped down. This feature alone, which I believe is unique to FD mount lenses, is a good reason to give preference to using FD lenses with the Sony a7 series. (My 35-70 zoom, however, is right now a Minolta, but this feature makes me think about using Canons also excellent 35-70 FD zoom). My first copy of this did have a significant amount of "play/wiggle" and eventually came undone. I should have contacted the seller (HiShop) immediately. I ended up contacting them via the "question about return" policy option *after* the return period had expired. They graciously replaced my adapter with a new one that works great and has no wiggle. I am very pleased with the product.

This is an excellent tool to turn your $3
This is an excellent tool to turn your $3,000 dollars lens into a super telephoto lens worth more than $14,000. But you may want use "Manual" instead of using Auto. I struggle a few time when my Canon EOS DSLRs were in auto with EF400 mm L, I enjoy the beautiful pictures I shot. I highly recommend it.

WOW! What a great lens.
After shooting with my older EF 70-200mm 1:2.8 L IS USM for years, I started to notice that my images were softer than those taken with my other (newer) Canon lenses. I had it cleaned and recalibrated and while the results were better, I realized that it was probably time to replace it with the most current version. The new Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS III USM Lens is somewhat lighter and MUCH sharper. I just returned from an out of state nature shoot where I used this lens extensively hand holding it mostly at 200mm. All the images are tack sharp with excellent colour and detail. The 70-200 has always been my 'go-to' lens for many situations... I love the flexibility to choose either lovely bokeh backgrounds or excellent depth of field depending on the situation and the results I'm trying to achieve. This is a GREAT lens and although it's a bit pricy, it has already proven to be a professional tool that does exactly what it's supposed to.I'm really loving my new Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS III USM Lens and am glad that I didn't 'cheap out' with a less expensive competitors product.

Great first lens for the EOS R and RF mount system
Love this lens on my EOS R. It’s a great walk around lens being so light. It has image stabilization and macro. It’s slightly less sharp than the 35 EF 1.4 II, but you really have to pixel peep. If you want to see our full review with sample images, check out: “Film Jams” on YouTube!

Awesome for beginners!
I got this camera about a week ago and love it. It's not Canon's flashiest, but it's an awesome starting point to jump into DSLRs. The stock lens is alright, but I already have a list of others to buy next, and the body takes both EF and EF-S lenses. The microphone is a bit weak, but who buys a DSLR to use strictly as a video camera? If you're on the fence and want to get your feet wet in photography, don't hesitate to buy this little guy.

Canon makes some good glass
I originally bought the lens for my 7D, but have since purchased a 6D also. The lens really captures what I shoot, well. My landscape shots are turning out great. I am not a pro, so I'll leave it to them for technicalities, but for a hobbyist, this is a great walk around lens. I have Canon's EF 28-135 zoom also, if I want to capture wildlife.

AMAZING lens! Highly recommend.
I am a photographer and use this lens for just about every session I shoot at. It works great for newborns, children, portraits, pets/animals and just about everything there is to photograph! I previously owned the Canon EF 50mm II (nifty fifty) and can for sure tell a difference between the two. This lens seems to be built better and it is not as loud as the nifty-fifty. Also, the images seem to be sharper and the bokeh seems to be better.I highly recommend purchasing this lens!

4 Stars For What It Is, Though It Could Be A 5 Sta
I'd give it 5 stars if Canon was a little more honest about what this camera can and cannot do. It's not a full-frame, high-end DSLR. It's not a full-frame mirrorless. It's not fast. It's not a great video rig. But it is a good camera. The images are nice and crisp, and the chromatic aberrations of the lenses are nothing that a little tweaking can't take care of. The video is 1080p and more than enough for putting things up on YouTube to share with your family. The Wi-Fi connectivity allows for quick upload of images to social media through the phone app. The different shooting modes allow you to get creative with your photography, and -- if you have the EF lens adaptor -- you have a wide variety of very good Canon lenses to use. (The EF-M lenses that fit this camera without an adapter are plenty good, but the EF-S and EF lenses open up a whole new world of creative possibilities. In short, buy this camera for street photography, portraits, or really good vacation pictures. Do not buy it for action shots -- even your kids' soccer games -- or moving wildlife. It's just not that fast. But, if you set up for the scene just right, you'll make some amazing memories with this camera.

A great device for the price
This works really well, and allows me to use my Canon EF and EF-S lenses on the Canon M50 camera. The auto focus is smooth and quick.
