Good investment.
I find the lens to be very sturdy even when carried in my backpack. I shoot with a T3i so I have to be mindful about the crop factor. That means this lens shoots more in the 85mm range for me. I get great bokeh from using it and I'm happy I purchased it. This is a solid lens to start with after you get used to the kit lens.

Great lens so far
Great lens, mine just came today and I didn't have any shoots planned so I tested it on my son. I shot on Nikon for about 3yrs and recently purchased a Canon 70d with the 50mm being my first lens (other than the kit lens 18-55mm). I'm use to shooting with a Nikon 50mm and so far the Canon looks up to par. Great build quality and bokeh, and good depth of field. Probably get the 24mm next. I'm still new to the 70d and so I still have a few settings to learn but I'll update once I use it for an actual photo shoot.

Works Great
I bought this to work with the Moondog 12.5mm anamorphic lens and it works great. I’ve tested it in blazing sunlight with no clouds, which was the brightest possible outdoors condition attainable. The filter was able to be dark enough for proper exposure at a fixed shutter speed of 1/48 for 24fps.

Perfect little lens. Takes nice sharp pictures wit
I haven't had a need to take out the 15-45 mm kit lens which came with my M50, since I bought this lens. The kit lens was so-so.. as to be expected from a kit lens. Since the price point on this lens wasn't that high, I decided to give it a shot. And it has been totally worth it. With the f2 fixed aperture, the lens is so fast and crisp, even in low light conditions that you don't miss the IS at all. The AF focuses fast and you get nothing but crisp pictures. It has delivered like a champ for both landscape pictures and low light situations with fast moving subjects.. like little kids. The nice soft bokeh that the lens produces is reminiscent of other high end primes. So, if you own a Canon mirrorless, this lens is a must in your collection. Now if Canon would only make more primes for the EF-M cameras!

Quality product, excellent service!
Super happy with my purchase of the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM lense. The difference between this and the kit lense that came with my camera are night and day. It’s compact and gets such nice depth of field. Remember to order a new lense protector/filter as this lense is narrower that a kit lense. Customer service was great with a followup email. Shipped same day and had it one day later. Couldn’t be happier.

Small, little, fantastic, sharp...
I purchased the M100 because I wanted a small camera with lots of features. The EF-M 22mm is tiny. The 14-45mm kit lens is a nice lens, it is small too, but not as small as the 22mm. 22mm on the M100 is a 35mm equivalent which is pretty close to perfect for most day to day picture taking. One has to get close for portrait shots but the bokeh at f2 is pretty nice, the eyes are pin sharp and the dual pixel auto-focus is amazing. I wear a hooded sweat-shirt most winter days, the M100 with the EF-M 22 fits nicely in my pocket. There is no image stabilization but I don't miss it. I have most of the features of my Canon T6s, but in a much smaller package.

Great intermediate kit
This was a great package to develop more skills on. I'd been shooting a standard 18-135mm lens for 7 years before I got this kit and it's allowed a large amount of growth in a very short time. The 50mm is incredibly versatile and great size for travel and the 10-18mm is great for wide-angle without too much distortion. The break between the lenses of 18 and 50mm is a bit large and sometimes limiting. A 25-35mm may be a good bridge if you're looking to shoot between those ranges.
