Amazing product. i use the CP every day and the UV is great as a lens protector. Will buy again if they get damaged or get another lens to put them on.

Affordable lens filter
For starters, the filter came packaged better than I expected. It arrived in a nice faux leather case for safe keeping or traveling when not in use. It is also very well made and dare I say rivals some of the more expensive ones that I have in terms of quality and performance. It was a bit difficult to get onto my lens, I had to carefully line up the thread but once it was on my Fujinon lens, it did not budge. It was easy to adjust while shooting and wasn’t too loose that it moved on its own.I’ve never used a diffusion filter before so I wanted to try something new when it came to my images and I’m kind of sold with this one. It added this softening effect to my images, smoothed out some of the edges but still kept the details.

Good price, fills the need
We needed the filter for lens protection. It certainly satisfies that need, at a consumer-friendly cost.

I was amazed to find the lens glass elements undam
Nikon D300s fell out of the car, landing on the rim of a $1,400 lens. I couldn't even open the lens cap, it got jammed so hard. Heard rattling glass sound inside, thought the lens was toast. Once I opened it, I was amazed to find the lens glass elements undamaged, this filter sacrificed itself to save the lens. So I'm going with the same one as a replacement and will never again question the value of protective filter.

Saved my lens!
This filter saved me hundreds of dollars. My camera fot knocked off a platform and fell 5’ onto pavement. The glass in the filter chipped and cracked but my lens is FINE!!

A lens for every photographer.
Everyone will tell you that after your kit lens this needs to be your first lens. This is true, but even as an experienced photographer I am always happy to get the latest iteration of this lens. Fortunately, this is the best version of the lens today. Build quality, design, and optics are all top notch. I'm aware of the prices on the 1.4 and the 1.2 but the outstanding value of this lens balanced with the overall quality is what keeps me coming back. Also, the weight of this lens is another plus. I've recently switched to the Sony and Fuji ecosystem, but I am keeping this glass and adapting it to those bodies. While I love the features of my Sony camera body I still do think that Canon has some of the best glass available and this 50mm is right up there with the best of them. You won't find one bad thing about this lens if you ask me. I plan on keeping it forever.
