Beautifully Engineered
This is a beautiful piece of gear; well worth the price! However, I had to learn that it mounts on a tripod only if you are able to unscrew the head of your tripod to expose the 3/8" bolt; by which it attaches. In other words, it does NOT attach to your tripod via the "shoe" with it's 1/4" threaded bolt. I returned it (love Amazon for THAT!) and will re-order when I get an appropriate tripod. Go to a couple of YouTube videos to get more information.
