Good invention.
A fantastic invention for using magnetic filters. Besides being a 77-82mm step-up adapter, it's magnetic, so you don't need a separate magnetic adapter ring. This reduces the thickness of the stacked filters and the risk of vignetting—a real game-changer. And pay attention to this because it's not a trivial matter. Here's an example of using a magnetic ND filter:
FIRST EXAMPLE (Using a non-magnetic 77-82mm adapter). The order would be: 77-82mm non-magnetic adapter + Magnetic ring + ND filter.
SECOND EXAMPLE (Using the magnetic 77-82mm step-up adapter). It would be: 77-82mm magnetic step-up adapter + ND filter.
As you can see, the thickness is reduced. If you've never used magnetic filters before and want to get started, I hope this has been helpful.
