Excellent filers combine Neutral Density (ND) and Circular Polarizer (DPL) functionality.
Neutral Density (ND) filters cut down the amount of light reaching the sensor. Used primarily in sunlight, ND filters help avoid overexposed skies. They can also be used to create flowing water effects and smooth motion suuch as passing cars and walking or running people.Circular Polarizer (CPL) filters are used to reduce reflections off surfaces like glass and water. They also help make colors appear richer.These clever filters combine ND and CPL functions in a single filter.These filters measure about 1.25 inches across, substantially larger than the GO Ultra lens. This makes it a little bit easier to rotate the ring that controls the degree of polarization.The ND8/PL, ND16/PL, ND32/PL, and ND64/PL filters offer 3,4,5 and 6 stops of light reduction. They are screw-in filters and require you to remove the original filter on the camera, which is easy to do.Overall, this is a really nicex set of filters and might well be considered essential by many videographers and photographers.Jerry
