A great small investment to protect your expensive DSLR lens
It really helps block out the flares from the sun when taking pictures in the bright daylight w/ the sun at an angle to the position of your shot. I have also found that it serves as a great protection for your lens when traveling or moving around w/ your DSLR. It fit the 18-55mm lens that came w/ my Nikon D3300 perfectly. Since I take many wide angle shots, I use the petal lens hood much more than the cone shaped one.Note that it is NOT reversible. It's a great small investment to protect your expensive DSLR lens.
