Easy to adjust and thankfully no springs!
Really happy with this tripod adapter as it uses a screw mechanism to hold the phone rather than a spring (had a few spring-based adapters break). Using with my iPhone 8 Plus with no issues at all!

Easy to use and mount.
I really like this phone holder adapter for tripod. It's so much better that the adapters that have come on other tripods. I like the screw adjustability instead of a spring loaded holder. The spring liaded one I just had broke did to the tension of the springs.

It fits great, easy to put on and take off
It fits great, easy to put on and take off, and still lets you use filters since it uses a bayonet mount. It's also way too expensive for what it is, but that's what you get with name brand items. The only other options I found at the time I bought this was generic screw-in hoods. I prefer this one.

Solid, Study Arm
The media could not be loaded.

This is a strong, sturdy, solid arm. Nothing flimsy comes out it. Its end screw fits a regular ball head. The 3/8 to 5/8 screw adapter ca also fit in a 3/8 to 1/4 adapter in case you need that. You can adjust the tension at each join. This arm is good for a camera.

Good Quality Filter
I am not professional but maybe an "advanced amateur" and I like good but not the "best and most expensive" equipment that money can buy. The filter seems quite well made and solid. As I don't have the extensive experience of using multiple polarizing filters, I can't compare to the more expensive ones but for my needs, it works great. The only problem I have is that an adapter ring is needed to fit the filter onto my camera. As I adjust the filter, it tends to turn and screw harder into the adapter. This filter is quite thin. Maybe thin is better or maybe they are all thin. The thing is that in adjusting the filter it screws in so tight, and the filter being so thin, that I can't grasp it to remove it from the adapter ring. I just settle and leave the filter on the ring as I don't change to and use different filters anyway and I don't want to use any tool unscrew it because it would just get stuck on again even if you don't screw it in tight to begin with.

Awesome versatile mounting rig for cameras
I mostly use this clamp with my GoPro Hero 8, or any equipment with 1/4 screw adapter. It provides so many mounting options and quite sturdy! Very well made, all metal!

Nice adapter
I purchased a Canon FD to Leica M adapter in order to get some more use out of my 17mm Canon lens. I’m pretty impressed with it so far. It seems considerably better quality than the cheap imported adapters, and not as expensive as a Novoflex. The lens hooks up solid and it feels solid on the camera body. I will most likely try some of their other adapters as necessary.

Almost perfect
I went through several tripods before finding this one. Some of the others were good, while others were not so good. This one is sturdy and versatile. There were a couple of things that prevented me from giving it 5 stars (I was looking for something that was relatively inexpensive and could take good pictures of items close to the ground AND that I wouldn't have to touch when taking the picture due to the tremor I have):1. It is obvious in the pictures, so not deceptive, but it needs some type of adapter or foot to mount anything - my selfie stick came with 2 adapters, this should have come with something.2. Also obvious from the pictures and description, but it doesn't get any larger, nor is it flat (I added an adapter to get it "flatter"), I also already had a video head to put on it for versatility but that makes it several inches taller.3. This was not inexpensive, but not nearly as expensive as my full-size tripod4. I had to use a separate Bluetooth control since this didn't come with onePros:I like the way the feet fold up and that it has both 3/8 inch and 1/4 inch screw compatibility. Most of ALL I love that the top pops off so you can easily screw on a camera or phone adapter and then pop it back in.Another reason I purchased this item was so that it could be used with my wife's DSLR and my scope (works).Although it looks like it can mount on the top of a regular tripod, it cannot. I tried minting it on top of my tip-off and the feet get in the way so it just barely is unable to fit/screw on.I tried extending it by screwing on my selfie stick and that worked very well.I would have liked it more if it came with some way to adjust the angle like a horizontal handle. I had one that I put on it so it made it easier for me to take pictures with it.

Q
Does this work with iPhone?
A
Yep with a phone adapter that has the 1/4 inch screw hole that the removable mounting plate will screw in to
Q
How big does the adapter have to be if I want to buy another 49mm adapter? 49 to 82 or 49 to 84?
A
49mm to 82mm. The largest adapter ring is an 82 to 82 mm, into which you can also screw an 82 mm polarizing filter, as with all other sizes. The outer diameter of all adapter rings is of course even larger.
Q
Will this work on an 82 mm Leica SL lens?
A
This will work on any 82mm lens.
Q
FD series adapter ring installation and operation steps.
A

There are two types of FD mounts
FD/FL Breech-Mount (with a silver ring, you need to rotate the silver ring when attachment and removal), breech-lock mounts are identified by the silver ring
New-FD Bayonet Mount, bayonet mounts are identified by a red dot next to the lens release button

Here are the steps to install breech-mount version

  1. Set your lens to smallest except for auto(bayonet mount only)
  2. Rotating the Lock-Open ring of the adapter on the OPEN side
  3. Line up the red dot with your lens and adapter ring(if yours is bayonet mount, just turn the adapter ring towards clockwise direction to make lens and adapter tight, then ignore the 4th step)
  4. Turn your lens ring towards counterclockwise direction to make the adapter ring tight with your lens
  5. Rotating the Lock-Open ring of the adapter on the LOCK side to engage the aperture closing pin

Operating the adapter

  1. If you'd like to operate the lens aperture with the adapter; on your lens, set the aperture to the smallest opening and use the adapter ring
  2. If you'd like to operate the lens aperture with the lens; place the adapter ring on the small aperture(Lock place) and control the aperture on the lens

Q
how does it attach to the camera? Do I need anything other then whats included for them to work on a nikon d7200?
A
The kit comes with 9 adapter rings for all sorts of lens sizes. You screw the adapter onto your lens, then the square piece screws onto the adapter and the filters slide into the square piece. The lens sizes the adapters fit are 49 mm, 52 mm, 55 mm, 58 mm, 62 mm, 67 mm, 72 mm, 77 mm and 82 mm. It matters more of the lens size than the camera you are using. Have fun with them!!
