I'm just a beginning photographer and am taking classes at my local community college (which I highly recommend for anyone else starting out like I am). I have an assignment for a long exposure photograph which most of the class is going to do at night. I wanted to try something different so I bought this ND filter for my Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L lens and I'm really happy with it. It worked exactly as I had hoped and I was able to get a picture of a nearby artificial waterfall in bright light with a 30 second exposure. The water has a nice creamy texture to it, but the rest of the image is sharp.
I wish the adjustment worked a little better with clear stops and the inability to go beyond Min and Max. I also can't remove the hood once the filter is on because there is a small rim that extends beyond the edge of the lens. Other than that, I'm very happy with this filter.

Stops of lights for this ND filter is not as accurate but still the value is fine for what you are paying

I was having a lot of trouble shooting outside bc I could go up so high on my F stop but I wouldn't get a nice shot and my footage was not looking high quality so once I purchased this filter, it changed my confidence in setting up the iso/ shutter/ f stop. Definitely a must have.

It gives very good image quality, has no appreciable color shift, sharp image and is free of vignetting in almost the entire range. 100% satisfied.

Great ND filter especially for wide aperture lenses, I use mine all the time in bright environments with no hit to photo quality. It is very well built and the adjustability comes in clutch. Highly recommended.
