It does what it is designed to do. Now I can see what my M42 lenses look like before using them on my K-3.

Works fine now but originally my Helios 44-2 was mounted upside down. At front of the adapter three screws needed to be loosened to rotate the mount 180 degrees. I did that but had to find out what sort of screws they were. Not immediately apparent. Discovered it needed a T5 star pointed bit to do the job. Hope this helps any future buyers.

This is a solidly built piece of equipment and may deserve five stars not four because it works every bit as well as described. Here's why I gave it only four: I have a collection of old lenses gathered over years of my photography hobby and I was really interested and enthusiastic about expanding the capabilities of my micro four-thirds Panasonic GX7. In truth it works but defeats the object of a high-performing lightweight camera. I think, from careful viewing of the results that the crop factor magnifies the imperfections of legacy lenses so the get the hoped-for results you have to use the only the very best of them. Add to this the extra bulk and weight of the old lenses, and their inability to integrate with so many of the features of a modern digital camera which you've become used to using and you may wish to consider if it's practical. But hey it is fun, I grant.

The item looks well made and arrived a day early.Please be aware that all 42mm threads are not the same. This item has a 1mm pitch.There is another 42mm fitting called t2 that has a 0.75mm pitch.I have ordered the wrong one for a Soligor lens.

Using this adapter for an old Helios 44-2 lens to GX1 and it works great. Construction feels solid, did not have any issues screwing in the lens. I've also tried another brand but they didn't attach very well to the lens. The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is because as some others might have noticed, there's a very slight wiggle once everything is attached to the camera body for some reason. Otherwise this is a nice adapter without breaking your wallet, and a great way to revive older lenses. I'll probably buy a couple more different adapters from K&F.
