I am very happy with this macro ring flash. I've got great images that I would not have been able to capture without it. The great thing is the fact that one can use a really small aperture to increase depth of field and know that the exposure is going to be reasonably close to what's desired once it's set for the rest of the camera settings.Like any flash light, the light will reflect off other surfaces and increase the exposure level depending upon the backdrop one might be shooting an insect for instance against. If it's on a single stem with nothing behind it's going to be less exposed than if it were at rest on a leaf where the light will bounce and increase the exposure level.I'm shooting with a 5Dmk4 so can happily increase the ISO to enable me to use the flash at almost its lowest output as I find the images are more pleasing when the ambient light is able to play a part in the exposure. Also the recycling times are almost immediate at lower settings enabling a number of quick shots if the subject is likely to take flight, and one wants to move around the angles to get different shots of the same subject. The battery life is better than any other shoe mount flash I possess.I'd buy again with no hesitation, comes in a great bag which has a belt loop.

For the speed of delivery. 5tars. For the value of the product. 5 Stars. For the quality of the product. 5 Stars! I was very amazed at the quality when considering how much this macro flash-light cost. I researched carefully before buying and this paid off. I have taken some close-up photos of insects and I am delighted with the results!

Very happy with this, considering the price. As others have mentioned, manual is practically gibberish. I haven't used a ring flash before, but figured out the basics in 10 minutes - set TTL (automatic) mode, made sure both tubes were enabled, played around with the ratio value, adjusted the exposure bias. As a result, I have many more gruesome spider pictures than most people.

I bought this ring flash Macro Flash Ring,K&F Concept® KF-150 Ring Flash as a replacement for a cheaper version ( got to try haven't you?) that refused to synchronize with my Canon cameras. This Concept® KF-150 is a different order again - the build quality is excellent, TTL exposure settings, quick recycling time, and excellent metal adapter rings. The close up pictures taken through - and with my Canon camera with standard lens and extension tube are excellent (hand focused - depth of focus is very small) see picture of the Face of a wasp.Excellent -recommended

Would have given five stars but it just doesn't quite fit my 82mm adaptor. It comes off it easily. Please make a proper 82mm filter adaptor for this as the new canon 24-70L lens has that.

Macro Flash Ring,K&F Concept® KF-150 Ring Flash Light Macro Ring Lite For Canon Camera Canon SLR Cameras EOS 100D 1300D 1200D 550D 600D 650D 700D 750D 760D 70D 60D 50D 40D 7D 6D 1Ds SX50 SX6 70D 5DThis review is about the RING Flash. a lot of the other reviews and answered questions relate to a standard flash and mention things such as spare reflectors and remote firing so beware!I had a quick test of this flash and it worked straight out of the box with my 5D MkIII. Nice even light and it is easy to setup. However, for those who have had little experience with a ring or other similar falshes will find the manual sadly lacking. The main omission seems to be the external power socket that is co-located with the PC sync connector. It alternatively suggest it is an external power socket or and external charging socket.

Bought to replace a Canon ring flash which are now way too expensive. This budget model has the same feel and build quality of the original Canon model and produces very good results. I've used mine with a Canon 5D and a 50D, with and without a Canon Extension Tube EF12 on both cameras. All of the modes function well and battery consumption so far has been minimal. The ability to vary output between the the two flash elements is essential and works perfectly. The controls are pretty much intuitive if you have any experience of modern flash units (last 10 years). If you do not, there is the small problem of deciphering the mangled English in the instruction booklet, but this really is just a matter of reading it a bit more carefully. The construction feels robust and the step-up rings thread easily onto Canon lenses. Gripes are a) the ring flash sits best with the logo upside down on the lens due to the slightly inflexible lead, but this doesn't alter performance. b) Without an extension tube (or even just a UV filter on the front of a lens) the flash unit can sit uncomfortably close to the camera body. The one thing I'm a bit mystified about is what type of mains adaptor plugs in the side, no mention of it as an accessory in the instruction booklet and I can't see it on Amazon. However, altogether a really good bit of equipment for a relatively small amount of money which means Canon must make a lot of profit on each of their units given what K&F retail this one for. Macro Flash Ring,K&F Concept® KF-150 Ring Flash Light Macro Ring Lite For Canon Camera Canon SLR Cameras EOS 100D 1300D 1200D 550D 600D 650D 700D 750D 760D 70D 60D 50D 40D 7D 6D 1Ds SX50 SX6 70D 5D

This flash arrived on time as promised. I was not sure what to expect when this arrived but found this flash looks and feels very professional. The instructions seem adequate although not in great English however the flash itself is quite easy to use and works well. I would highly recommend this flash for anyone into macro photography or for use for portrait photography.
