67" / 172cm Aluminum Travel Camera Tripod with Arca-Compatible Ball Head, Compact Portable Lightweight Tripod Weighs 2.6 lb, Max Load 22 lb for DSLR Mirrorless Spotting Scope iPhone Teleprompter K&F CONCEPT
SKU: KF09.173
I make YouTube videos as a hobby and got this K+F Concept 73 inch aluminum camera tripod as a second tripod for multi camera shots (mostly static “talking head” shots), but after using it I ended up making it my main tripod for my mirrorless camera because it feels clearly better than my cheaper K+F “basics” tripod that is half the cost of this. This tripod is heavier and more solid while still being easy to move around. The pros are that it is super easy to set up and break down, the center column makes height changes quick without moving the legs, the ball head is smooth and convenient, the Arca style clamp works with many plates, it supports up to 22 lbs, so it fits the teleprompter great, it packs small, and works with cameras and phones. For my specific use, I have no cons to it. I imagine you may have a different opinion if you needed it for other tasks. The construction is aluminum with a solid and durable feel, a 40 mm ball head with smooth movement, a center column that can be reversed for low shots like unboxing, a hook for extra weight, decent overall fit and finish, and parts that feel reliable for regular use. Overall, this tripod offers good value for the price, performs well for video and photography, and I would recommend it if you want a simple, portable, and capable tripod for hobby filming.

Great tripod. Bought to record daughters volleyball games and it took some hits this weekend by some stray volleyballs and stood up well. Seems well made and love the adjustability

I was looking for a portable, lightweight, but sturdy tripod for a small refractor telescope. I sometimes have to carry my gear some distance, so portability was a must, but a steady mount is imperative for a telescope. This tripod fits the task in both regards and has some features I really like. Most noticeable to me was the lack of a central spreader brace. Instead, each leg has a click lock at the hinge. It works very well. It's very solid and also allows you to make a very short, very wide table tripod. I don't miss the spreader at all, as the legs are very stiff and well-made. There is also no handle; just loosen the friction lock and adjust the ball mount as desired. The head moves very smoothly, and I like it. Removing the camera mounting plate requires undoing a thumbscrew, so it's not really a quick plate, but it's not bad. Overall, a very solid portable tripod.

How can you go wrong with this company ?
Whatever I have from K&F is above average. Same goes for this Tripod.
I am just sorry they don't make high end carbon tripods for my height. This one is tall.
I am 6ft 6 and it fits me perfect.

I recently tried out this compact tripod, and it's been a game changer for my photography. It's lightweight and portable, making it easy to carry around, which are great ideas to get started. I found it stable enough for various shots, and I appreciated the versatility it offers. The adjustable height is a nice touch, allowing me to capture different angles without hassle. Overall, it's a solid choice for anyone looking to enhance their photography experience.

This compact tripod has a great build quality for the price. It is lightweight and compact and still expandable to 73" tall. That's incredible range! It is very easy to setup and comes with a DSLR camera mount as well as a phone mount, which can be oriented vertical or horizontal, as you can see in my example pic. It has great stability for being light aluminum build. No complaints.

I’ve been really impressed with this K&F travel tripod – it feels far more like a mid-range “proper” tripod than a cheap lightweight stand. Folded down it’s surprisingly compact and slim, so it slips easily into the side of my rucksack without snagging on everything, but once it’s set up it extends to a very decent height. I’m just under six foot and I can use it standing comfortably without having to hunch over, which is a big win for my back on longer shoots.
Build quality is excellent for the price (around £60 at the time of review). The aluminium legs feel solid rather than flimsy, the flip locks snap firmly into place, and the whole thing feels stable even with a heavier mirrorless body and zoom lens on top. The ball head is smooth to adjust with proper 360° panning and an easy 90° tilt for portrait shots, and once you lock it off it stays put without slowly drooping. I also really like the centre-column hook – hanging my bag from it makes a noticeable difference in windy weather. The fact it comes with both a standard camera plate and a phone holder is a nice bonus too, so I can swap between my main camera and my phone for behind-the-scenes clips without carrying extra kit. You can still tell it’s a travel tripod (fully extended in strong wind you’ll want to weigh it down and be a bit sensible), but overall it hits a great balance of height, stability, portability and value.

This K&F CONCEPT 73"/187cm Compact Camera Tripod, Lightweight Travel Tripod is a good value basic tripod. It’s quite lightweight and comes with a carry bag and a phone holder attachment.
The legs can be set to different opening widths using the spring-loaded ratchet clips on the top, allowing the legs to be spread very wide. There is also plenty of height adjustment in the legs. The camera plate is a sort of semi-quick release! It’s not a snap-in mechanism, but by loosening a wing nut, it will easily slide out. The mounting bolt is a standard 1/4”. There’s a hook underneath that you can hang stuff off, and this can also help create extra weight to improve stability.
When collapsed, it’s around 20” tall, but will extend to an impressive 73” and support 10Kg. The aluminium construction keeps the weight down. You can mount the central column bar either above the tripod or invert it to hang below.
The 40mm ball head enables free rotation, while the 360° panoramic base delivers smooth, precise panning. The ball head tilts 90° downward for vertical shots and can be inverted for low-angle compositions.
Ultimately, this is still a budget tripod, and has its limits in terms of ultimate stability, but given the price at the time of writing of around £60, it's a good value, versatile tool that is very useful for mounting wildlife trail cameras and laser levelling devices as well as camera phones and traditional DSLR-style cameras. Obviously, given the lightweight construction, there are some limitations in terms of overall stability and flex, but it remains a very usable tripod.
The overall impression is good, and it looks like a stylish and well-engineered item.

This takes me back to old Slik tripods whose legs did not have cross-braces. While not the most stable tripods that exist, they are exceptionally easy to set up and break down without pinching your fingers in a folding mechanism.
The K&F version improves on it in a couple of ways:
- The Arca clamp is useful and compatible with tons of plates
- The real ball head is more fun than a video-style handle
The one design choice I do not like is common to a lot of K&F tripods, and it is the self-leveling feet. You really need spikes for outdoors, and the self-leveling nature of feet is kind of pointless with a tripod, since three legs form a perfect plane on any surface. Rounded feet would have sufficed here.
All in all, it's a solid value.

K&F
tripod first of all I would like to highlight its weight. It's super light, very easy to carry.
Its aluminum construction means that it weighs almost nothing.
As for the height, it is more than fine, reaching 187 cm.
The only downside I can give to this product is that they are not aimed so much at cameras as they are at mobile phones. And yet, I think it's more suitable for mobile phones or small teams. Or if you use it with a camera, I wouldn't use it with a lens that's too large, since I find it unstable.
For the price it has, if you only want a mobile tripod I would look for another cheaper option.
Now, if you want a more versatile option and your equipment isn't too heavy, this option may be perfect, since the tripod is very easy to carry.
