This thing goes from portable wand to skyscraper tripod in two seconds flat.Folded, it’s already thicker than your average travel stick, but extend it fully? Suddenly I’ve got a 69" tripod taller than half the men I’ve dated. And unlike the wobbly Bambi-leg sticks out there, this one stands solid on everything — even carpet — thanks to the surprisingly wide, stable aluminum legs.Plus… it pops open automatically if dropped from a few inches up like a tiny spy gadget. I didn’t think I needed that feature, but now I kind of love it. The magnetic quick-fold is smooth, satisfying, and doesn’t require wrestling it like other brands.The rechargeable 9-button Bluetooth remote is genuinely impressive — shutter, zoom, camera flip — all without me doing the awkward hover-hand pose in photos. This is a very interesting selfie stick/tripod. It has a very unique way of opening the tripod legs. Many reviewers have expressed confusion or outright denial that it works. As you can see in my video it works very well. You simply have to hold the tripod vertically a few inches or so above the floor and simply let it drop down and the legs automatically open as soon as it hits the ground. It's pretty cool how it works. Closing the tripod legs is just as easy by simply picking up the tripod and turning it upside down and the legs immediately close and they are held closed by small magnets.The telescoping tripod is very useful and it extends to 69 inches which is great. The segments are very firm and the tripod will not lose their position while in use.The plastic clip that holds your phone can be oriented either vertically or horizontally and it does rotate, which is really nice. It's a very useful, however very fragile looking plastic piece. I have a lot of concern that if you're not very careful that it could easily break.Similarly the remote control that is attached weakly by magnet to one of the legs seems very cheaply put together. I have little confidence that this will last very long, but in the meantime, it is useful and allows you to remote control your phone in several ways. You can change shooting modes, zoom, and possibly a couple other functions that I haven't really researched.Overall, this is a very useful tripod, may be less so as a selfie stick simply because the diameter of it is quite large and it is kind of heavy and unwieldy if you are using it extended very far.
