Took this out of the box, and turned it on. It immediately began tracking me. no set up (it did not even have a phone loaded to take a picture. Super simple to use.I knocked off a star since it specified iPhone, when it should just say phone.

Super easy setup and super easy to use. All I had to do was open the legs, extend the arm to the desired height, and turn on the camera, and it automatically picked me up and would follow me wherever I moved. It's a little iffy in low-light situations, but as long as there's enough light, the tracking camera should have no issue picking your movement up. The boom arm stretches out to the advertised 71" and has a stable base for indoor use..Too light for outdoors however. A good breeze would knock it over.Overall cool product for content creators or for those making video calls and want to be able to move around while talking with someone.

This face-tracking tripod generally works as intended. I easily got it to track my face while recording a short video, although the movement was a little jerky. It did not always respond to my hand movements, which are designed to control start, stop, and tracking. There is a remote that performs similar functions. The pictogram-style instructions are vague and require more detail. This is a lightweight, easily portable setup. It's designed to sit on a table or desk, or even on the ground when fully extended. There is an attachment for a lightweight camera weighing less than 1 kg, suitable for those who need high-quality video. It's capable of full 360-degree rotation.I don't think this is anything like a professional device, but it would work well for influencers and other reviewers. It's lightweight, comes with a bag, and will be easy to carry to any destination.
It Really Does Track Your Face

This is so much more than any selfie stick I've purchased before! This product is capable of tracking your face and moves yo keep you within the frame. It can be used handheld or you can open the tripod and use it hands-free. This product would be perfect for anyone who makes content or even a podcast or webinar. I highly recommend this over other an ordinary selfie stick, especially if you don't plan on sitting completely still while recording.

My son has been taking piano lessons online most of the time since Covid. We used a large traditional camera tripod and later a small selfie stick on a stool. They worked. But this selfie stick is a game changer. It can extend as tall as a regular big tripod, and it can track his face (and the fingers on the entire keyboard) thanks to the AI face tracking. His iPhone has built-in face tracking anyway, so I don't know how this will influence that. The gesture control works, but with a remote, it just feels natural to use the remote. The selfie tripod is very beefy. It's definitely not your regular tiny selfie stick, which I have two. It extends several times longer but retracts to the same short length to go into just about any backpack. You only need to Bluetooth connection and no software install at all.
A game changer for Zoom piano lessons

This face-tracking tripod is impressively well designed. While it’s not flawless in build quality or tracking accuracy, it’s clear that a lot of thoughtful engineering went into it.The unit cleverly integrates both a phone mount and a standard tripod screw mount, no swapping required. Each mount folds neatly out of the way when not in use, which makes setup smooth and flexible. The tripod itself telescopes to roughly six feet tall, yet folds down into a compact, easy-to-store size. Everything locks into place securely and feels well-balanced when extended.Face tracking works surprisingly well for this price range. Gesture recognition isn’t always perfect, but the camera reacts quickly and can keep up even when you try to throw it off. It does struggle a bit in lower light, but in normal lighting it performs quite well.Build quality feels solid for the $40–$50 range. The telescoping mechanism is sturdy and smooth, though some components—like the face-tracking camera housing and the wing nut that secures the mount—feel a little plasticky. Still, nothing feels fragile or cheap. One of my favorite touches is the one-handed tripod leg operation. The manual shows multiple ways to deploy and fold the legs quickly, and it genuinely works as advertised. Both the tripod and the detachable remote use USB-C for charging, which is a nice touch.Overall, for the asking price, this is a well-executed and feature-rich option if you want an affordable tripod with built-in face tracking that doesn’t rely on a separate app.ProsTelescopes up to around six feet tall but folds down compactlyDual mounting system (phone and tripod screw) built into one unitSmooth, sturdy telescoping mechanismOne-handed tripod leg operationBuilt-in face tracking that works without an appUSB-C charging for both the tripod and remoteGreat value for the priceConsGesture recognition can be inconsistentTracking performance drops in low lightSome components feel a bit plasticky

I’ve been using this tripod mainly for making videos with my iPhone 16 Pro Max, and the AI face tracking works surprisingly well. It follows smoothly in 360° without needing an app, and the gesture controls are handy when filming solo allowing me to pause, lock, or start tracking with just a hand sign. The height is adjustable, going from compact in your hand to tall enough for standing shots, and it folds down quickly for storage. It is a bit bulkier than some other AI tripods I’ve tried (see pictures), but is still very portable. The build quality feels solid with a stable base, and I like that it uses a standard 1/4" thread at the top so I can swap in an action cam or attach accessories. The Bluetooth remote works well for triggering photos or videos, which is nice when I don’t want to rely on gestures. Overall, for about $46, this tripod is a great tool for content creators, livestreaming, or anyone who films solo and wants an easy way to stay in frame.
